Team of The Year Flashback Predictions

Team of The Year is right nearly upon us and we’re expecting some crazy cards to arrive, not just in the two teams and Icons. We’ve already looked at potential TOTY Icons, but today we’re taking a trip back in time to refresh our minds and pick out some potential Flashback SBCs for TOTY.

Angel Di Maria - FIFA 14

Although this card may have a Manchester United badge, it was mainly earned from his time at Real Madrid in the first half of the year. The Argentine was integral to Real Madrid’s Champions League success and also reached the World Cup Final in 2014. Give us the exact same card and 5* Skill Moves and we’ll be more than thrilled!

Radamel Falcao - FIFA 13

This Falcao card might not look that special compared to the cards we’ve seen across recent games (I’ve got Evolution cards better than this), but back in the day he was that guy. Very deceiving base card stats, this was one of, if not, the best striker in FIFA 13. It’d be a cool card but we would like to see a decent boost if he arrived in FC 24.

Bruno Fernandes - FIFA 21

Bruno found his way into the FIFA 21 Team of The Year after a very impressive start to his Manchester United career, they didn’t actually win any trophies but he was the one to score the majority of goals (even if they were from the penalty spot). He was rewarded with his insane 97 rated card and we’d pay a good amount to have this back in the game!

Manuel Neuer - FIFA 16

Manuel Neuer is arguably the greatest goalkeeper of all time and this was well reflected by his 4 appearances in the FIFPRO Team of The Year. We’ve chosen to base this card on his FIFA 16 version but with 3 others to choose from, we see this being a likely possibility. If any goalkeeper deserves even 1 PlayStyle+, it’s Manu Neuer.

Luis Suarez - FIFA 17

There’s only one way for Luis Suarez to make a return to Ultimate Team, right? The Uruguayan has linked back up with Alba, Busquets and Messi at Inter Miami and we think this would be a fantastic first card back. We think 2 PlayStyle+’s may come for TOTY and we think we’ve given Suarez the perfect added PS+...

Neymar Jr - FIFA 19

The Brazilian winger was included in the FIFA 19 TOTY as the 12th man with this unreal 97 rated card. His TOTY was a fan favourite all year round and we can’t think of a better Flashback SBC to have during TOTY than Neymar. He doesn’t have to be this good though, that might just break the game!
