DanTeam of The Year is coming! It’s almost time, the biggest promo in the FC 24 calendar is right around the corner. We’re already in the warm up stages, which we can be using to save up packs and be as prepared as possible for when the real fun starts this Friday
What is Team of The Year?
Team of The Year is the biggest promo event in the Ultimate Team season and it gets bigger and bigger every year. The best performing players are added to a voting pool where the community vote decides which players make the team. We’re expecting 2 teams, one male and one female, with an additional 12th player for each team. Last year also saw the introduction of TOTY Icons which, based on the loading screen, will be coming again this year.
When is Team of The Year?
The TOTY Promo starts this Friday (19th January) but we’re not expecting the full team to be in packs until the following week. Positions are usually in packs for a couple of days each and then the full team, the trend recently has been 2 days for Attackers, 2 days for Midfielders, 2 days for Defenders and then the full team for 8 days.
Predicted Schedule:
Friday 19th January - TOTY Attackers (both Male and Female) in packs
Sunday 21st January - TOTY Midfielders replace Attackers in packs
Tuesday 23rd January - TOTY Defenders replace Midfielders in packs
Thursday 25th January - Full Team in packs (both Male and Female)
2nd February - TOTY Ends
Loading Screen and Card Design
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the card design team at EA needs a raise, they just keep bettering themselves as the year goes on. These might be my favourite card designs of the year, the Icon especially. I’ll be happy packing the worst one just to see the design!
Who Will Be In The Team of The Year?
Team of The Year is based around the best performing players of 2023, so it’s not the hardest event to predict. The big hitters in our Men’s Team of The Year are Haaland, Mbappe and Messi and for our Women’s Team of The Year we’ve included Diani, Hansen and Kerr. We’re also expecting TOTY Icons to be coming, with the likes of Ribery, Sawa and Xavi being included in our predictions.
Will There Be Team of The Year Evolutions?
We hope so! Nothing has been confirmed yet but we’ve been given Evolutions for pretty much every other promo this year and I doubt they’d slow down with Team of The Year. We’d love to see our concept come to life and allow us to take a bronze all the way up to Team of The Year level, but we don’t want to get our hopes up too much.
