FC 24 Showdown Leandro Trossard Player Review - Cop or Flop?

It's not been the most exciting weekend of content but today we've been given a set of Showdown items for the midweek UCL clash between Bayern Munich and Arsenal.

Both cards look quite nice but it's all about who can get that live upgrade so in the comments I'd like to see some score predictions for that game...

Let's now turn our full attention to this showdown Trossard who comes with huge upgrades for Pace (+9), Shooting (+11), and Physical (+13). There are even some notable changes to the in-game stats with his sprint speed being boosted by +15!

The addition of two playstyle+ is also welcomed especially the Trivela one.

I rarely ever use the 433-5 formation but given Trossard comes out as a CF I thought I'd run with a team that fits a CF.

The overall cost is around 140,000 coins which doesn't seem fantastic value given the stage of FUT we are in but it also isn't bad value considering it's an item that could get boosted to a 91 OVR and potentially a 92 with evolutions.

How did he perform in-game?

+ Shooting, Trossard scores goals. Left foot, right foot it does not matter with his 5* Weak Foot and the distance from goal also isn't a problem either he finished really nicely both in and outside the box for me with the Trivela+ helping with the later.
+ Dribbling, that 97 agility was felt in game he turns really well and if you're confident in your left stick abilities you'll make use of that.
+ Passing, another attacking area where Leandro performed well was in the distribution department, he definitely isn't an elite passer but for a ST/CF/LW he passes well and links up really well with the team.
+ Positioning, I just always seemed to find him floating about in the right areas which lead to so many chances been created.
- Strength/Aggression, this will come as no surprise given the in game stats but this is the area where the card can suffer against elite defenders, ultimately if you're good with controlling the ball you'll be able to avoid this kind of duals but if not you'll have a rough time, he does have really good balance though so as long as you time your turn well even when under pressure you can get yourself out of a tough situation.

Ask me in a few days... In all seriousness I think as the item is, it's a nice card but to be worth it, I think it needs the upgrade which I am fully aware is a bit of a 'cop-out' - get it? Thanks.

Earlier in the game cycle this would have been a fantastic value SBC but a week before TOTS when we know there are going to be elite-level forwards injected into the game every few days it's just not as appealing.

Fun card but I just think it’s smarter to save your coins/fodder for TOTS players now so unless you’re an Arsenal fan I’d give this one a miss.
