Another day of the Total Rush promo and we’ve been treated to a Mini-Release of additional players for this promo. Notably a Diogo Dalot card is available in packs and he looks to have received a really nice upgrade. In the SBCs for today, we have also been treated to a Total Rush Raheem Sterling card and the Arsenal fan in me is ecstatic. I can’t wait to get my hands on this card and add him to my Arsenal Squad.
Sadly however we have yet another SBC released with no Playstyle+. As much as I sort of feel this may be the better play on EA as it slows down the demand for multiple Playstyle+s, we are at the stage where a Playstyle+ will be a big factor in forcing cards out of our squad and quickly pushing players below the power curve. So it’s a shame not to see any kind of Playstyle+ here.
However, as far as upgrades go, this card has had a very healthy upgrade to it. An overall boost of a +5 with a +5 to the pace, +7 in shooting, and a whopping +10 to the Physical stats. He may not have been given a Playstyle+ but he has been given two additional Playstyles in Long Ball Pass and Whipped Pass. Certainly some nice additions for a winger.
No new roles unfortunately for this card, which is a shame as it would have been nice to see even the roles he already has apply to the other positions he can play. No boost to the Skill moves or Weak foot either.
For Chemstyle here I went for the Hawk as although I would opt for maxing out the pace and shooting, I knew that Strength would be a bit of an issue so the Hawk suited me better here. Otherwise, the Hunter is the go-to.

So 4 segments total and if I’m honest this definitely could have been one segment shorter. There is a price tag of 270k currently for this card. I feel that he has been given a premium price due to being a Premier League/ Arsenal Card. As much as I was always going to get my hands on this card, I fear that if he doesn’t perform incredibly, this one may fall behind the power curve fast which doesn’t reflect well on that price tag.
How did he perform in-game?
+ Pace of course was brilliant as you would expect. He is very rapid on the ball as he possesses the ability to make a quick burst which usually pushes him into open space with ease
+ Dribbling was also nice on this item. Blended with the pace he was able to make quick agile movements on the ball and despite only 80 composure, he held the ball well under pressure
+ Attack positioning was also really good as he was always pushing into space to receive easy through balls which would build up goal-scoring opportunities
/ Shooting was okay but there was nothing to shout about. He has the finesse playstyle but even that didn’t seem to be very efficient in-game.
- Strength was a big letdown for this card as the elite defenders would make easy work at forcing him away from the ball
- Passing was okay but for a winger, you would expect more. He struggled to put a lot of power into his passes and crosses which usually meant they would be easily intercepted.
Raheem Sterling - Cop or Flop?
This one was a little disappointing for me, I really would have liked to have seen a Playstyle+ on this card because maybe that would slightly justify the price. But he just didn’t perform as well in-game as I would have hoped for a card that is worth almost 300k. He’s quick and agile but outside of that he kind of gets a little bit lost within the team. For a small amount more you can purchase yourself the likes of Son that will serve your squad well.
I predict this one will likely go missed by many and based on the hugely downvoted ratio of this SBC by our Futbin community, this one might sadly be worth the miss. Unless of course, you are building up an Arsenal Squad like myself.
Verdict = FLOP
