DeanWith Cornerstones done and dusted, another brand new promo has appeared! Ratings Reload is here, and these cards look incredible. Ratings Reload introduces a fresh set of upgraded cards featuring both men’s and women’s footballers. These new items are influenced by fan votes, community requests, and seasonal performance trends. One of note for me, is the Olise card. He’s had a well-deserved boost and a card more fit for his real-life performances.
The SBC for today is an Arda Guler SBC. I can’t claim to know whether or not this man has been deserving of this boost, but I can tell you thus far, he has had 6 total goal contributions so far this season. But regardless, EA has deemed him worthy of a boost, so let’s take a look.
This item comes with a +5 boost overall from his base item. A huge +13 to the pace, +11 physical, +9 shooting and a +â…˜ to passing and dribbling. It’s fair to question where this kind of boost lies in the name of “slowing down the power curve”, but certainly worth noting is this is yet another promo SBC that does not come with a Playstyle plus. The optimist in me says this opens him up to a not too in the distant future evo, but otherwise this card has had no adjustments to his playstyles.
He can play in the CAM, RM/RW positions, but honestly, with the pace he currently has and how seemingly important it is to have fast wingers, he looks to be set in that central role. Regardless, the Hunter chemstyle seems to be the clear option for me.

Only 3 segments in total are required to complete this SBC, with a price tag of just under 70k in value. Honestly, playstyle+ aside, this one seems fairly decent value with how those base stats look. It is a shame he’s had no adjustments whatsoever to his playstyles, but the ones he has are pretty decent, so it’s not the end of the world.
How did he perform in-game?
+ His passing ability was simply impressive. He was at the center of the squad’s build up play and created some easy tap ins for the attack.
+ The dribbling, simply perfection. He was so agile on the ball and controlled it well. Guler handles high-pressure situations well thanks to that big boost in composure. But he also possesses the technical dribbling playstyle, so he can maneuver through the opposition with ease.
+ The shooting was decent on this item; he has high finishing and shot power, which proved lethal when through on goal. He also has finesse and trivela in his locker, so he is going to cause problems for the opposition.
+ Positionally, he’s solid too, constantly picking up a pass, sending it forward, and moving right back into space to support his teammates. His attack positioning, most notably, came into play often which allowed for plenty of goal contributions.
- Sadly, the only downside to this card is the low strength. He doesn’t have a strong physical presence, so you’ll be relying heavily on his dribbling ability in physical situations. Otherwise, he will be forced off the ball fairly quickly.
Guler - Cop or Flop?
I need to get out of my head when I see these new SBCs with a lack of playstyle plus, because quite frankly, this card was brilliant. He performed so well in-game. I didn’t expect to enjoy him as much as I did, but he is absolutely going into my main team. Short-agile players seem to be incredibly meta right now. Especially if they perform left stick dribbling well and this guy does just that.
At only 70k to complete, this one feels like cracking value. He may only have a week but personally, after weekend league, I feel this one would be quite easily attained from rewards/ coins. If you’re rocking a La Liga squad, and let’s face it, most of us are working on getting these meta Spain cards, then this Guler item is a must complete.
