Ratings Reload Reloaded for Team 2 this weekend with Lionel Messi headlining an interesting list of new available options to enhance squads. Unfortunately we did not have the facilities to get into the Argentine legend and were left with the rest of the intriguing options to consider. In truth I think it would have normally been KDB, but with both the CM and CAM positions unavailable in my formation I decided to go down a different path, which certainly worked out well in the end.
Kenan Yildiz is currently one of the premier youth talents in the world. The Turkish attacker is a constant goal threat when on the pitch and the hope was that this would translate nicely into the pixelated pitch this weekend. Certainly one of the Ratings Reload players to receive the biggest of boosts, closer to those wild promo upgrades of the past to the tune of +230 in game statistics and of course the upgrade to TECHNICAL Plus.
The 4-4-2(2) dictated the review, and then dictated the LM position for Yildiz throughout this review. Within the first match I was already wishing that I could have tested the Juventus sniper at his primary CAM position, even more so wishing that he had striker as an alternative position. In any case it was the HUNTER Chemistry Style applied to aid the Pace needed for dangerous wingplay and the INSIDE FORWARD Role felt like the only acceptable option. With that everything was set to jump into some pre-Weekend League Rivals before diving into the murky waters of the grind itself… The hope being that Kenan Yildaz could use the extra ratings to rack up wins in the following squad:
Rating: 9/10
This card is a problem for defenders and again, if he had the striker position he would be a staple in my squad moving forward. I still think I will be holding on to Yildiz for a while, but as a LM the influence just simply isn’t as high. Regardless of positioning, some of the statistics on this card feel like a lie… In the best way possible. Across the board there are areas where Yildiz simply outperformed what the statistics said he could and I quickly found myself funneling my attacks down the left hand side. 11 goals and 6 assists in 15 matches highlight the positive conclusion, but it was the in game performances that told the story.
Main Statistic - Pace & Dribbling
Pace Rating: 10/10
Dribbling Rating: 9/10
PlayStyles: Technical Plus
Skills: ★★★★
Even with massive Pace and Dribbling boosts I was a little worried about Yildiz having to move out to the Left Mid position. The 96 ACCELERATION & 95 SPRINT SPEED were obviously not the main concern, but a lack of any Pace related PlayStyles was… Kind of like using a 95 Shooting striker with zero Shooting Playstyles, you know they will score but they could score more. In the end my fears were extinguished immediately and if anything the Pace, and more specifically quickness of Yildiz, was the constant threat in my attacks.
The Dribbling was less of an unknown as the TECHNICAL Plus upgrade was always going to be a key factor in creating chances and the 90 AGILITY, 80 BALANCE & 92 DRIBBLING were fantastic to use. Yildiz maneuvers in and around the box with incredible fluidity and bursts out of every dribble like a card that has QUICK STEP.
Value/Coins
Value/Coins: 5/5
Can’t really fault anything with this card. I suppose 5 STAR SKILLS would have certainly upped the Dribbling Rating to a 10/10… But seriously this card has something about it that feels broken. I won’t mention her name, but it is kind of like that…
Good vs. Bad
Good vs Bad Rating: 5/5
The list really does go on…
+ 5 STAR WEAK FOOT, 89 FINISHING, 90 SHOT POWER and if you watch the video you will see some clinical left foot finishing to highlight that combination. Normally I would have considered a 10/10 but the GAMECHANGER Playstyle as the only Shooting boost definitely played a factor… Still, 11 goals in 5 matches from the wing is an impressive return and it was a close call for rating.
+ Sometimes it just takes one and in the case of Yildaz’ passing the INCISIVE PASS is the one. Again, something just clicks with this card as 85 VISION & 83 SHORT PASSING should not be this effective, but the results were there to see. I didn’t test the WHIPPED PASS as much but it is just another weapon in the arsenal if you want.
+ Last but not least is the Physical part of Yildaz’ game and perhaps the LM positioning helped to enhance this further. Not many of the popular right backs in the game are equipped to deal with a lightning quick, six foot beast, with 75 STRENGTH on an 81 STAMINA battery.
Closing Words
Quick shout out to Francisco da Conceição who quietly looks and feels like a cheap beast, and performed that way this weekend. But the star of the show was certainly Yildiz and the contributions were huge in stringing together a Rivals streak and starting off Weekend League on the right foot. The massive statistics boost, TECHNICAL Plus and improved ROLE options are all enough to justify the price tag and feels like a must try after my experience. Hoping you are well. Cheers for reading.
