Arsenal EA Sports FC 24 Rating Predictions

ByFUTBIN
19-Aug-23 15:51

22/23 was both a brilliant but also disappointing season for Arsenal. The Gunners achieved a 2nd place finish and made their way back into the Champions League for the first time in 7 years but came so close to actually winning the Premier League. There'll be plenty of upgrades coming for Arsenal and hopefully more trophies to add after winning the Community Shield.

Goalkeepers and Defenders

Aaron Ramsdale - 84 OVR

FIFA 23 Rating - 82

Aaron Ramsdale kept 14 clean sheets in the Premier League last season and had a huge impact on Arsenal’s redefined back line.

There’s going to be tough competition for the number 1 spot next season which will hopefully bring out the best in Ramsdale and their new signing.

David Raya - 80 OVR

FIFA 23 Rating - 76

The Spaniard joined Arsenal from Brentford after a very impressive season (12 clean sheets) and has been brought in to compete with Ramsdale as they aim to push each other to new limits.

We think Raya will be awarded with a +4 in FC 24 which will be very well deserved.

Kieran Tierney - 79 OVR

FIFA 23 Rating - 81

Kieran Tierney may not even be an Arsenal player by the end of this window as he looks to have lost his place with Arteta’s change in system.

He played less than 800 league minutes last season and we expect a downgrade to come his way no matter which club he’s at by the end of August.

Takehiro Tomiyasu - 81 OVR

FIFA 23 Rating - 79

Tomiyasu unfortunately spent the back end of last season out with a knee injury, but when he did play he certainly impressed.

It’s been tough to get in the team ahead of Ben White but he has definitely made Mikel Arteta consider who should be given the starting role when both fit.

Oleksandr Zinchenko - 82 OVR

FIFA 23 Rating - 79

Despite being mainly deployed as a left back, Oleksandr Zinchenko is one of the most technically gifted footballers in the league.

Zinchenko allowed Arteta to change the system and use the 3-2-4-1 as he pushed into midfield.

We think a +3 will be very deserved for Zinny, and wouldn’t be surprised if he’s higher.

Jurrien Timber - 81 OVR

FIFA 23 Rating - 80

Unfortunately for Arsenal and Timber it looks like he’s set to miss the first half of the season after suffering an ACL injury on his Premier League debut.

The Dutchman had a solid season at Ajax and was one of their best players so we’ve rewarded him with a +1 in FC 24.

We wish him a speedy recovery and hope to see him back in action very soon!

Ben White - 81 OVR

FIFA 23 Rating - 79

Ben White featured in every single PL match for Arsenal last season and not only impressed defensively, but also contributed going forward.

He chipped in with 2 goals and 5 assists from his hybrid RB/CB role and helped The Gunners win crucial points.

Gabriel - 83 OVR

FIFA 23 Rating - 81

Brazilian Icon Cafu told us how big of a Gabriel fan he is, and for good reason. The centre half formed a formidable partnership with Saliba as Arsenal came so close to winning the league.

Just like White, Gabriel played in all 38 of Arsenal’s PL matches and was only subbed off twice!

William Saliba - 84 OVR

FIFA 23 Rating - 80

We’ve predicted a huge +4 for Saliba in FC 24 after a season where he proved he should be considered amongst the league’s best.

The Frenchman was by far Arsenal’s best defender and was only bettered by the Manchester City backline in our opinion.

Midfielders

Thomas Partey - 84

FIFA 23 Rating - 84

Partey had a good season for Arsenal but wasn’t anything too special. He popped up with 3 goals in the league from incredibly just 4 shots on target.

Standard season for the Ghanaian so we’ve kept him at 84.

Declan Rice - 85 OVR

FIFA 23 Rating - 84

Declan Rice led West Ham to their first major trophy since 1980 as they won the Europa Conference League.

His trophy run continued as he lifted the Community Shield on his debut for Arsenal and he’ll hope that’s the first of many for The Gunners.

Jorginho - 83 OVR

FIFA 23 Rating - 85

Jorginho spent the first half of last season with Chelsea before making the switch to The Emirates and it’s those first few months that are to blame for his rating.

Just 1 assists all season from the Italian who didn’t bring too much to Arsenal in the back end of the season, we feel that a -2 is justified.

Kai Havertz - 83 OVR

FIFA 23 Rating - 84

Kai made the switch over from West London to North as he joined the Gunners this summer for £65m after a relatively disappointing season with Chelsea.

We’ve had to downgrade Havertz purely for the state Chelsea were in last season, 12th place finish means an obvious -1 at the least.

Martin Odegaard - 86 OVR

FIFA 23 Rating – 84

A 2nd place finish after years outside the top 4 is huge and partially down to this man.

Odegaard scored a whopping 15 goals in the Premier League and contributed another 7 assists. He was the highest scoring midfielder and there were only 6 players in the entire league to score more than him.

A very deserving 86 rated card for Martin in EA FC.

Emile Smith Rowe - 79 OVR

FIFA 23 Rating - 80

Just the -1 for Smith Rowe as he spent a good part of the season out through injury.

He couldn’t get his place back in the starting 11 after surgery but we hope there’s more minutes to come in 23/24.

Gabriel Martinelli - 83 OVR

FIFA 23 Rating - 78

Gabriel Martinelli had the best season of his career in 22/23 and has proved he’s up there with the best wingers in the league.

The Brazilian scored 15 across all competitions and chipped in with an added 6 assists, we predict a huge +5 coming his was for FC 24.

Bukayo Saka - 86 OVR

FIFA 23 Rating - 82

The 21 year old was one of Arsenal's best players last season and was one of the main reasons they were so close to winning the league.

14 goals and 11 assists in the Premier League alone is an insane return and why we’ve upped Saka’s rating so much.

Forwards

Eddie Nketiah - 78

FIFA 23 Rating - 73

Nketiah’s minutes may have been limited last year but when given the chance, he made a huge impact.

He scored 9 from 18 starts and filled in for the injured Gabriel Jesus with ease. We think a +5 is generous but anything less than a 78 felt almost too low!

Leandro Trossard - 81

FIFA 23 Rating - 78

Trossard made the switch from Brighton to Arsenal in January and his goal contributions took a turn.

He went from goal scorer (7 goals) with Brighton to provider (10 assists) with Arsenal in the second half of the season as he helped The Gunners compete with Manchester City until the last few games.

Gabriel Jesus - 85 OVR

FIFA 23 Rating - 83

A recurring knee injury came back to bite Jesus midway through the season but that still didn’t stop him and Arsenal having an amazing season.

The Brazilian chipped in with 18 goal contributions in just 26 matches which is well deserving of a +2 to take him to 85 in EA Sports FC 24.
