Put him in my 4-3-3 (4) defence partnership next to Bailly, but was a little unsure at first because I had liked Manolasfor the first 200+ games but I opted to do the SBC and he is totally worth it. Have a shadow chem style too so his pace feels better than 75, and his strength means that he simply doesn't budge when he comes into contact with anyone else. Scoring corners is a strong aspect of his game too because he is 6'5 and doesn't get out-jumped, so he may even grab a couple of goals. Last points, don't let the high/high work rates put you off, with the instructions on 'Stay back when attacking', he actually does stay back, also, as the title suggests, he is easily as good as the Prime Ferdinand so Koulibaly is certainly a cheap icon alternative.

A must have IF playing 3 or 5 ATB

Koulibaly is a MONSTER. If it wasnt for the links and the workrates he would be one of my Top 3 Defenders.The only problem with him is the H/H workrates, thats why I would recommend him in formations with 3 or 5 ATB. In my case (5-2-1-2) I paired him up with Manolas and Hero Benatia bc they have M/H and L/H so his H/H workrates worked perfectly. Apart from that he kills it every game for me.
