A Proficient Winger
By KadenM, 24-12-2017

Robert Pires is an above average winger. I bought him for 405k on open bid on December 1st. In this time I have only played Divisions (6-1). Before I bought Pires I was using scream Deulofeu. I wanted to get rid of Deulofeu becaue of his poor finishing and lack of strength on the ball. I figured I might as well try Pires because he will hold his value. I originaly played seven games with him on basic chem style. He was garbage. Not fast enough and his finishing was what I would expect from Andy Carrol. Once I applied Hunter he completely changed. He was hitting finesse shots from outside the box with ease and his finishing became a lot better. His dribbiling and passing are also really good. They are reflective of the stats shown. His crossing is way better than 87 though. Surprisingly, the best thing about this card was his height. This allows him to win headers over most fullbacks and center backs who mark him. His height also allows him to shield the ball really well. Makes him feel like he has 75 strength.

Height- He is 6'1" or 187cm. Allows him extra strength and advantages in heading situations.

Passing- Amazing in 1-2's. Long passing and crossing is some of the best I have used.

His agility is amazing for somebody with his height. I was eaily able to navigate around my opponents.

Finesse shots are amazing.

Attack Positioning allowed him to score tons of rebounds.

Links with everbody.

He's basically Marco Reus with plus ten stamina. Reus is much cheaper but he doesn't have the links Pires does.

Medium Medium work rates means he stays back a lot when you want him to go forward. This however, allows him to score lots of rebound goals.

Hit or Miss

I have mixed feelings about Pires. Sometimes he's good, sometimes he disappears from the pitch. If I;m losing and I change formations I tend to move him to LAM. Sometimes it seems like he performs better there anyway. Let's start with the bad, his stats feel like they are a bit of a lie. He is not as agile and quick as it may seem. That may have to do with his height, I don't know. But sprint speed 88? No way. Feels like it...
