Its been a while since Rui Costa's SBC was released. I completed 2 weeks later for 430k. I took time to review his card as i needed at least a century of games to provide a fair judgement. Hence, i played him for 140 games and can safely say that he is much more value for money than Deco, Del Piero and Hagi. I interchange the three CAMs in the 4231 formation behind SBC Al Soma. To be honest, the only thing Rui Costa is inferior to is Del Piero's shooting, which is ridiculous. The thing that sets Rui Costa apart though is his immense physical prowess in the middle of the park and his brilliant long passing and pace.

"The maestro" is absolute magic in game for my squad. He has the perfect balance of pace, ball skills, and passing that make this card one of the best I've ever used. So, Rui Costa.Everyone rates this guy as 5 stars, which he can deserve. Let me summarize it:At the start of F18 he was AMAZING. So many longshots/goals/amazing passes/assists/the whole deal. He was totally worth it, the best 400k I ever dropped on a player. EA then went on to absolutely nerf this guy to death, and now he is below average.
