What is there to say. I used his regular card in the team shown (which is shown how it looks in game, obviously everyone gets 10 chem) and he was good. Not as good as the baby Ferdinand, or Boateng, or Bailly even. He was a CB I felt I used out of necessity due to my love of Alex Sandro, who I consider to be the best LB in the game bar none (including Alaba, and the 2nd version of Roberto Carlos, both of whom I have used). If you're wondering, I don't like Chiellini due to his workrates, which is probably an unpopular opinion but bare with me.

When I saw the +6 Composure upgrade, the +4 Strength and +3 Pace and Stand Tackle, I thought it would be worth trying out this new inform, especially since it was so cheap (picked him up for 58k, he's about 50k as I'm writing this review). Honestly, the best CB I've used all year, apart from baby Ferdinand and the LB Maldini on 7 chem. His positioning is amazing, can bully any attacker off the ball (apart from the 94 R9 but honestly who can even cope with him) and is great in the air defending and attacking corners. Another thing that goes unnoticed by a lot of people when considering CBs is Reactions. 84 Reactions is really very solid, saved a few goals for me in the Weekend League with timely blocks and even a goal-line clearance from a corner. On the ball, his passing is good enough for a CB, and his first touch and general ball control is exceptional for a CB, but let's be honest that doesn't really matter unless you want a David Luiz type player in a Conte-like system of 5ATB.

9.5/10 IF I'm going to be picky, he could be a bit faster. Otherwise, there's no better CB you're going to get for this kinda budget. Please try him out for your own sake, you're missing out if you don't (unless you have 2 icon CBs in which case don't bother). P.S. don't use him with a Shadow. Although it may seem tempting, the strength upgrade is much more useful than the pace upgrade since his positioning is so good.

Pace - listed as a con since it's the only issue I could find. If it was 80+ I'd put him on par with Desailly, Blanc, Maldini and Ferdinand all of whom I have issues playing against in the Weekend League, he does that good a job for me defensively.
Shooting - he's scored a few tap ins for me off corners, but his stats aren't the best. What else do you expect really.

best defender in the game

Benatia TOTS is a monster !! by far the best defender i tried ( i did had Leblanc prime, ferdinand prime, ramos toty, desailly prime ). it's just insane how is always good placed on the floor and he had such a speed he can catch anyone and he can easily get the ball from them, he is also the king of the air ! he scored so many goals in the corners... the only cons is the staminna at 76 but for a defender it's okay !

Great value for money

I packed Benatia as an untradeable during the 81+ pack frenzy last week, and didn't even think of playing him, but after getting rid of Prime Ferdinand to get R9 I had a gaping hole in my defense that needed to be filled.He's actually a lot better than Prime Rio in everything. People like to say that Icons have a "hidden trait" and they're always better that other players... I've never felt that with Rio. ...

Brilliant

I have to sell my benatia tots bcz i wanted to buy mbappe tots. so to replace him, i bought benatia motm. What a purchase that is. Trust me, benatia tots and motm feels like almost same except for stamina. tackling , interception is great, scores monster headers. I was amazed when he shrugged off tots lukaku like he was nobody. I pair him with koulibaly tots. and these two are my final cbs for the rest of fut 18.
