One of the best CDMs in FUT18

Positions/Formations used: all as CDM, mostly in 4-1-2-1-2 narrow and 4-2-3-1

Chem style recommendation: Anchor (to boost them physicals - his pace is adequate)

I was really excited when the FUTMAS leaks came out and Fabinho was on the list. His normal card was an early game beast for me (packed an untradeable OTW Mbappe at the start of the game and so was forced into Ligue 1 sides/hybrids), and I did his SBC immediately. I've used him as my CDM almost constantly ever since and I think he's the best non-Vieira CDM in the game. I've used frozen Casemiro, Bakayoko, Kante, Matuidi, Petit (88 and 90), De Rossi, Khedira, IF Gustavo, IF Allan, IF Saul etc, and while many of them beat Fabinho for specific stats, I think Fabinho offers the best combination of pace, passing, defensive stats and physicality. He's 6'3'' and will win everything in the air. He only has 81 strength (which is why I would recommend an anchor on him, not a shadow), but his size and stature help him win almost every battle. His passing has been on point for me except for the odd long pass that may go awry. He feels agile and quick on the ball, and is a real threat from corners and long balls. His 91 stamina means that he'll run all game without a problem. He's just a really dependable card.

The only small issue with him is the fact that he has M/M work rates. He does tend to want to bomb up the pitch from time to time, but if you tell him to stay back while attacking, he's usually in the right place at the right time. I would recommend pairing him up with a H/H or a M/H CM who can cover for him if he ever forays forward.

TL;DR: If you did his FUTMAS card, great! If you didn't, I would strongly recommend you hop into the nearest time machine and get him done.

Definitely the best CDM in game!

Fabinho is the best and most important Player in my Squad (featuring De Bruyne TOTS, Goretzka TOTS etc...)!He is the initiator of almost every single attack i start!It feels as if he hed 99 Interceptions, 99 Vision and 99 Short passing!The only comparable player i tried out this year is Allan IF, who actually is a great card too!He is way better than Vidal, Bakayoko, Kanté, Matuidi, Fernandinho ...

Best All Around CDM Out There!

I have used many amazing CDMs this year. Vieira, Gullit, TOTY Kante, Bakayoko. None of them even come close to the level at which TOTS Fabinho plays. He out-defends all players, and he has the ability to pass and play anywhere on the field. Honestly well worth the 300k, but he will go down so I would say wait a little. He is Brazilian, and he links easily.

Fabinho was an amazing CDM for me. I packed him instead of Fernando and it was quality. He is a great link to Neymar and a cheap alternative for Vieira. He is huge in midfield, great defensively, and even incorporates himself well to the attack
