Patrick Vieira is the best CDM in the game and it isn't even close. In 23 games he has only made 1 error; besides that he has been perfect. He brutally assaults defenders with the force of 3 men and gets away with it each and every time. The Desailly/Vieira dynamic duo is too much to handle (see my review on prime Desailly). His shooting and dribbling leaves a lot to be desired, but you're getting this card strictly for the defense and everything else is just a bonus.

If you have the coins and feel as though your midfield is lacking, I highly recommend you acquire this man.

Has a decent hairline in-game
Wins headers and scores off corners like it's nothing

His dribbling could be better, but it's really not a huge issue unless you let him take it up the field often
Try to avoid shooting with him if you need to score
A bit expensive

Best CM/CDM in game

I have to start saying this is an absolute Black Beast in the midfield. He can almost win every ball there. If it's a short pass, he intercepts, run, he gets over it. Sligh tackle, stam over opponent, medium tackle, stam over the opponent, hard tackle, opponent injured without a foul call. This man can recover the ball 100 times a match without even get tire 50%. Best defensive minded CM in the game

I decided to go big as I felt my midfield lacked both discipline and a leader. Spending 2 million coins on an untradeable icon is not the obvious choice and I would under no circumstance say that Vieira represent value for coins at all, but what a player he is. Amazing in a CDM/CM role. Can play CAM but would be much better in a more defensive role. I used a CATALYST on him, giving him 95 PAC and 91 PAS. Even around my team of players Viera stands outs. Games:78Goals: 42Assists: 58
