Player Review
89 - TOTS
He was in one of my saved packs, I got him and immediately thought, how much can I sell him for? But with WL upon us I figured I would give him a shot and write a review. Boy let me tell you, I was overly impressed after I figured out how to use him. The first 5 games I played I was doing what people normally do with new fast cards, force the ball to him and try to take on every defender with the sprint button held. Nothing was working(in 5 games, I had 4G 1A, so kinda meh) so then I went back to playing how I normally do and that's when he came alive. He reminded me of Dybala of last year, super clinical, very technical with the ball and just had that magic, not to say Dybala's not good this year, but last year he had something about him.
He always seems to be in the right position I played him at LCAM in a 4231, now on to the Pros/Cons
Pace: Simple, his acceleration makes him pull away very easily, he reminds me of Insigne, the break away is great but with only 86 sprint speed it's short lived. So if you can find your next course of action with the 2 yards of space you just grabbed with him, you'll be fine.
Shooting: Long shots, check. Finesse shots, check. Heading, extra check! Heading was exquisite, he always seemed to out jump the LBl/RB he was facing, didn't matter who it was, he won the ball. The only problem I had with his shooting was he was sometimes not in the best position to take a shot when I wanted him to, even though his positioning is 90, I feel like it's more of an 83.
Passing: Like I said I forced the ball to him early on and nothing was working. But after I started playing normally, let me tell you this guys passing is just as good as PTG Willians if not better. He always passes it into safe areas, even when I would force a through ball to the striker of my central CAM, he would always lead them correctly, or play to the foot that was away from the defender. I think his passing was the most impressive out of a card that I wasn't expecting to be the best passer.
Dribbling: Plain and simple. Dribbling is phenomenal. It says 93 it is a 93, easily.
Defending: Comes back on defense quite a lot, not the worst thing from an outside CAM with 85 strength to help shack up the defense.
Physicality: 72 Strength, feels like 85 in the box easily, with his dribbling combo very hard to relieve him of the ball.
Only 2 major cons come to mind when I played with him.
Defending: He would sometimes switch positions with the LCDM and stay back, which would severely disrupt my play when out wide I'm expecting a pacy guy and all of a sudden, bam, Petit is outwide with the ball, taking on a RB.
Physicality: Definitely not 86 stamina, by the 80th minute this dude is a little gassed, but to be honest the damage he deals in those first 80 minutes is enough.
Overall this card is a 9/10 for me. Would definitely buy, but I'd draw the line at about 160k, not worth the 200k.
