87 - Premium SBC

Great Pace, Great Poise!

This is my first review so bear with me if I miss some things.

As soon as this SBC became available, I knew I had to do it. The rest of the rewards along the way were meh (barring Lallana) but 87 Rashford? At striker? I used Rashford's base cards (both ST and LW) as starters for half of FIFA18, so I knew what he could do.

Now prior to this Rashford, I had been using SIF Callum Wilson, whose pace, short passing, and unholy strength were all key traits in my attack. Rashford brings nearly all of that, along with better size, skill moves, and WF. He makes great runs, simply striding to the ball a full step before any defenders reach it. At first I was a bit taken aback because he didn't feel much faster than Wilson — then I realized that Wilson has Hunter chem and I've yet to apply a chem style to Rashford. You can also feel Rashford's extra two inches (pause) over Wilson; he's simply more present in the air and can play through his head in a way that Wilson could only dream of. He had a hatty in his debut game, including a wonderful strike where he pulled the ball around two defenders and simply teleported a screamer into the top right. I use my strikers to feed IF Son as well, and Rashford's passing, while not necessarily as laser-pointed as Wilson's, was still more than acceptable for a Target Man role. The only thing I really felt that Rashford failed to do is throw his weight around like Wilson did. I was used to shedding defenders without much trouble and while Rashford was quick enough to avoid the most physical of collisons, he was still susceptible to being elbowed off of a run.

Gets outmuscled with regularity by defenders and stronger midfielders, making it hard to entirely run him as a CF

Passing could be better (feels like I'm nitpicking now)

If you are looking for a PERFECT striker, futties Rashford is the one. Being 6'1 might make a player slow but Rashford is the fastest player i have ever used. If you have the money to get him you will not regret it.
