Decent, but not quite good enough

The problem with Fernandinho is, that he's not quite good enough as a CDM (lack of strength, marking and heading) and not quite good anough as a CM (lack of pace and defensive workrates make him play like a CDM, he will just not get into a longshot situation).

I would say at around 80k he would be worth it, but right now, you are better off deciding whether you want a CDM or a CM, and buy Kanté (Fernandinho would only be better cause of his height, but he's a poor header!) or a decent CM. It sounds ridiculous but IF Mooy is a better CM for 25k, he has the same pace, mid-mid workrates, better passing, and not much worse defense. I just can't justify having this card for 150k. At first everyone is amazed at Fernandinho's stats like I was, but just compare it to Herrera, Kanté, Mooy, and you'll see that Fernandinho is not that much better as you thought.

A decent CDM is a rarity in BPL

Very good defensive stats

Exceptional short passing

Not strong, poor header = not exceptional defensive mid

Not fast and strong enough to bump into people and tackle them like Kanté does

Hugely overpriced because of the rarity of CDMs in BPL (is it the only IF...?)

For 40k more you get 87 rated Kanté

Beat mode ON! What a player

So I needed a good defensive player with capacity to link my defense to my attack. I couldn't be happier to pack this BEAST! Without even trying, this guy made 10 assists and 9 goals in 10 games while being the most irritating player for my opponents that TRIED to attack.
