Where do i begin? This is my first review and i have to make this.

He is one of the most, if not the most consistent tackler on the game. All i need to say that he is the Gabriel Jesus/Martial stopper. His positioning is unbelievably good and he always wins the ball and creates counter attacks and stops your opponents counter attack. I havent felt any problem with his pace when i use him with an Anchor. So i reccomend that chem style.

when going for a 400k icon defender you cant really go wrong with nesta.

he is absoulutely amazing, i play him next to ramos (the best rare gold defender IMO) and he makes him look like smalling next to ferdinand.

his interceptions is what have won me a lot of games and his strenght is absoulutely fantastic...

if you want a icon defender but dont have coins for the likes of maldini or fredinand, then buy him.

he is also very good in the air, and wins alot of headers, and therefore he also scores same headers from corners

Arguably one of the best defensive duos in football history, Maldini and Nesta create images of an impenetrable force in the mind. Maldini has been rated as one of the best, if not the best defender in fifa 18, but his defensive partner Nesta has been overlooked by the fifa community.

In short Nesta is a great player this years fifa but he does not completely fit the meta of the game. Coming up against pacey strikers you'd think that Nesta would have no chance, but thanks to his positioning throughout the game he always gives you the best chance of being able to make a tackle and win the ball back. In truth his 70 pace looks like a let down but i think it suits this card perfectly. His lower pace allows you an easier job of getting into a good position to make a tackle . With a boost from a chem style(if you believe they actually boost players) he is ideal to man your def. When it comes to tackling ability this is where the card earns its stars. A combination of high defensive and physical stats as well as his high reaction stat(91) makes it very difficult to get past this man. You may have heard the term clinical striker, this player is a clinical tackler. Complete defender.

Unfortunately this card isn't completely OP like other icons and players on fifa 18 so there are downsides to this card. Composure on the low side with 82 so as much as its easy winning the ball away from attackers, timing of the tackle will get you a long way. Short passing is as good as it needs to be. I feel the face stat seems a bit low because in the 300-400 games using Nesta he hasn't really given the ball away cheaply like the card would suggest. I generally play out from the back and tend to pass the ball around to make space and Nesta never seems out of place with his passing.

The cons on this card aren't really cons because they do not hinder this cards ability to perform on a regular basis

All said this is an amazing card that will almost definitely improve your squad. As always defensive duos make for a solid defensive performance so my suggestion would be to play him alongside another top class defender( Boateng, Ramos, Ferdinand, etc). If your looking for consistency in defense Nesta will certainly give you that.

After having Rio Ferdinand Prime and Puyol Prime i've decided to sell them beform the marked crash and i take a risk by buying the 88 Nesta (thinking if he's good enough for FUT Champions) along side Bonucci TOTY

And the risk was successfull, he is one of the best CB in the game !

And he outperformed Bonucci TOTY !

you\d expect better from an icon. dont get me wrong. he's a good card. just not exceptional.

sold him after 5 games. bought sif ake. much better.
