Hamšík is a must-have for any Calcio A squad. He makes an incredible CAM, but he can also play as a CM in just about any formation.

Starting off with his attacking play, Hamšík is capable of scoring from pretty much anywhere. His long shots are superb and his close-range finishing is also very good. The 5* weak foot makes him deadly from just about any situation. He makes great runs from midfield into the box. As a playmaker, his ball control and passing are excellent as you'd expect. His defending is very good for a CAM and acceptable for a CM. His strength and aggression are low, but he feels much stronger in game and is certainly capable of winning tackles and shrugging off challenges. At 6'0", he is a decent aerial threat and is capable of winning headers, but this isn't really one of his biggest strengths. Despite his low agility and balance, he feels very comfortable on the ball, and he's pretty quick with a pace-boosting chemistry style. With 85 stamina, you can rely on him to run around the pitch for the full 90 minutes. The only downside to Hamšík is his 3* skills, but even if you're a skiller, Hamšík is a creator who doesn't need skill moves to have an impact in games.

Hamsik is a great player, but his fifa card is all around uninspiring. His passing is good, particularly with quick one touches or threaded balls, but it's not game-changing. The same goes for most of his other stats. Is dribbling is good on paper, but the 3* skills make it hard to really use in-game. And while his 5* weak foot and 83 long shots are nice to have, he rarely found himself in front of goal. I played him at center mid because I hoped his height would him be a more physical midfield presence, which works somewhat in that he is good at shielding the ball and winning possession, however this also makes him slow and off-balance so it's harder to start attacks with him. Overall this is a nice card, but one that doesn't really blow me away for its price. Maybe people who care less about pace would find him more suitable at CAM. I much prefer Marchisio, IF Allan and IF Bonaventura in my midfield.

Last year, he was insane, one of the top 3 attacking midfielder, had everything. But this year, he is so strange. Good on the ball , but quite ineffective, not a game changer. Great at long shot and positioning but very weak and slow on the ball . 6'0" but doesn't win headers, great passing but for his price I don't recommend him there is a lot of options in the calcio A but if his price don't go down I don't recommend buying him he is good but not enough to accept his price.

Hamsik for me was some of those players from who I expected great performances, a lot of assists and some long shots. But in game he is literally bad. I couldn't start a play with him because he always failed the first pass. He has high passing stats but in game he makes 2 passes with success of 10. His long shots always go against the defenders. His dribbling is good, he can run long distances with the ball. He also defends well and it feels like he has a little more than 69 strenght, because he smashes some players in the midfield.

I can say he is one of the worst centre midfielders that I ever used in FIFA.
