87 - Normal
The best CM playing in the Ligue 1 comes from Italy: Marco VERRATTI is everywhere in the field and does a very nice job recovering the ball and keeping possession, exactly like in real football. Because of the H/H WRs, 77 stamina must be mentioned as simply not enough. His pace is not worrying and can be improved with engine or anchor, but I prefer using the sentinel chemistry so he is strengthened.
I have also used him as a CAM behind Balotelli and he is both a dribbler and a playmaker, but his terrible shooting made me give up really quickly, while as a CDM his low height and poor strength contrast with his high aggression and defensive skills.
If used right (CM and default instructions, far from being a defender or an attacker), he is a great-short-weak midfielder who will deliver killing through balls and irritate you by missing clear opportunities.
- H/H workrates (stamina doesn't help);
- Recovers the ball (standing tackles, interceptions and aggression);
- Possession player (long and short passing, close ball control);
- Playmaker (dribbling and vision).
- Short;
- Weak;
- Finishing and shooting: he never scores (unless it's an own goal).
