Olivier Giroud. Where to start?

He's ticking all the boxes. Used him in 20 games so far and boy is he something. I've mostly played him as a CF behind Mbappé in a 4-4-1-1 with Martial and Ousmane Dembélé on the wings and Matuidi and Tolisso in midfield. It seems to fit my playstyle really well, a bit slower play based on possession and quality finishing. Before Giroud's hero card was released I tried his regular card in the CF spot and he scored 46 goals for me in 72 matches and racked up 24 assists. I've also tried Benzema (who was absolutely atrocious) and Fekir (decent) as CF's but I always seem to come back around to Giroud. I use him with a marksman chemstyle to boost his already high dribbling, shooting and physical. His dribbling is pretty decent, despite his 2* skill moves, he's really hard to take the ball from with his 99 strength and 95 ball control (with chemstyle). His shooting is next to none, get the ball on his left foot and fire away from anywhere near the box and you will score. He's a beast in the air and can take shots from range as well.

I don't find his lack of pace very disturbing as my playstyle don't need a CF with pace but for others it might be a dealbreaker.

I am completely amazed by this card his shot is so great that if yout have the ball with giroud it always worths taking a shoot. if he takes the shot with his strong foot the keeper doesnt even have to try to catch the ball. with his weak foot he still has great shot power but his finishing is not the best. if you have the chance to pass the ball inside the box, then go for it. Due to his great strength and ball control nearly no defender will have it easy to take the ball away from him. He is a complete striker and his Heading is unbeliveble good so if you have the chance to cross the ball to giroud then for it. No matter how he takes the shot, if its by volley, finesse, driven or by driven curve shot, it will go in. Even if he is slow, it won't slow down your fast game due to his great passing skills. Using dragbags inside the box is the most op skill move you can do with him. With the Hunter chemistry style his pace goes up to 68 and his shooting stats are all about 99 but longshots.

Olivier Giroud is, since Fifa 18, the best BPL strike i've used. His shooting is just too powerful and perfect. His longshot are straight top bins. Upcoming backs, like Bellerin, Alba or Alves are really good to combine with Giroud. Giroud can give a good long pass to the fullback, and then the fullback can put a ball in the box. Giroud will win all the headers and score those crosses.

Giroud only has a lack of pace, agility and balace. The rest is just perfect!

He is incredible depending of what type of striker you are searching for. If you are searching for a fast player with skills, he is obviously not the right player, but if you are searching for a player that takes incredible long shots, finishes like a god and creates opportunities like fi he was a midfielder, he is the correct choice. I will want to admit that I was scared because of his pace, but his strength helps him a lot because you just cover the ball and the majority of the defenders will not pass. He may have med/med work rates, but his positioning is actually really good.

I tried this player because previously I had Harry Kane, which I didn't liked because of his positioning and his dribbling was horrible. So I changed him to Giroud and I actually liked him more

Pace 4/10- He is a really slow striker, and you will fell this in game.

Shooting 10/10- He is a beast, if you shoot with him it will probably be a goal.

BTW I scored a screamer vs Cech with like a lot of defenders in my way

Passing 8.5/10- He usually creates the chances so he or another player can score.

Dribbling 7.5/10- He has a really bad agility, and his agility is okey because of his strength. Still His ball control, composure and reactions are really good.

Defending 11/10- (Thats not a typo) He's obviously a striker so don't expect him to defend, still he sometimes intercepts correctly when I use him: I putted that 11 because his heading is incredible, he will head the ball always in corner, even if he has a defense in front of him.

Physicality 10/10- This is what makes the card so special, strength is incredible, but his jumping is in another level. I dare to say that his jumping and heading is better than Cristiano Ronaldo's.

My final rating is of 9.3/10

He reminds me of Andre Pierre Gignac 91 TOTS from last FIFA, but slower.

I recommend you to have a fast player to his left and to put him as a right striker.
