I've bought this guy for 105k and of course, I have to say, that's not really a few coins for a goalkeeper.

Basically, I always start with the Basic Chem Style, but that didn't really satisfy me.

Based on the already written reviews, I've applied the Chem Style CAT and...

"OH MY GOD"... REALLY...

I've never had such a good goalie in Fifa 18!

Lastly I would like to say something fundamental at this point. You should not expect too much from goalkeepers in Fifa 18.

Of course, there are also some "shot-types", the nunmal times in Fifa 18 land in the back of the net, as in previous titles.

BUT! Who defends like sh*t, also gets a lot of goals...

Last but not least, I have to say, that this guy is worth every single coin!

I would even go so far, that he is on the same level as de Gea (not the TOTY-Version), but with the difference, that MATS is much cheaper.

(And now imagine, he would get a +2 upgrade in a few days.... what the hell... :-) ).

I bought this card for 98000 coins and initially played him with the basic chemistry style. His performance was inconsistent even though he made a couple of awesome saves every match. Then I tried him with glove and wall. I didn't see any noticeable difference either. However after I changed his chemistry style to cat, he started doing wonders. I played divisions(division 4) and squad battles with him. He absolutely dominated most of those games with an average of 6-7 super saves per game. His reflexes are unbelievable. He doesn't have any particular cons except the fact that he occasionally gives second chances (1 in 3 games average for me). If you can find the right chemistry style for him, he can do wonders for your team. Really strong card.

Of course, he is not De Gea!!

I've bought TOTGS Ter Stegen 3 times now, deciding that I will indefinitely keep him. I've tried out every La Liga keeper worth trying (Navas, Asenjo-regular and IF, Neto IF, and Adan IF) except regular and IF Ter Stegen. The first time for around 70k, second time for 110k and the 3rd and final time for 130k. I was highly unimpressed at the beginning when he came out because for the price and his stats, I felt he was not giving me consistent clean sheets. Was playing Squad battles offline and even on professional, I felt he was missing easy saves from strikers rated below 78 sometimes. It really pissed me off and decided to initially sell him when IF Neto got released which has solid stats at about 1/4th the cost at that time. I was mostly satisfied with him but eventually got the money back to buy TS so I rebought him. Got pissed off again and resold him for IF Asenjo which has almost the exact same stats at 1/3rd the cost but he angered me even more... So, I bought TS for the final time and what I can say is that his performance offline is different from his online performance. He is much much better defending against human opponents and find him saving me quite a few times in the game. Hes far from perfect but he is perhaps the best La liga keeper right now and his online performance is arguably what counts the most. With the ratings refresh around the corner and his rumored increase, hes only going to become better. I would say the most similar keeper I have tried and enjoyed has been Lloris. Also, put glove on him for sure. His performance improved since I had him on basic chem and that was a bad idea... Also tried cat the first time and it wasn't that good.

After tried almost every high rated keeper in the game except for De Gea (couldn't afford) I had really high hopes for Ter Stegen. Especially after reading the other reviews. I told myself I would give him a real chance because he was/is a big investment, but after 12 games (all inte weekend league) I can't take it anymore. He kept one clean sheet for me in those 12 games and every game I in some way managed to win was with scores like 4-3 or 5-4. He just simply can't save, and it's not just one sort of shots that he has problems with, it really is all of them. The low driven shots = goal. Finesse shots outside and inside the box = goal. Regular shots outside the box = goal. He just simply doesn't react in time. For me I expect some big saves when I pay these kind of money for a keeper but it didn't just happen. I bet I can count all the big saves in these 12 games on one hand. Simply not good enough.
