This year I have used his NIF, IF, and now this one...he is overpowered by FIFA from the start. If you play a cross-into-the-box game, this is your man. He's an absolute assassin with 95 base crossing, Early Crosser trait and Crosser specialty. All you need is a target forward like Icardi or Immobile and he will send in some long range missiles that are unbelievable. His base DEF stats are good enough to run him as an Engine chem style--he has Tackler and Tactician specialties which are a huge upgrade and you will notice he's a stalker in-game.
Dribbling is fluid and he is more than capable of running down his wing, cutting into the box and slamming it home with his 88 shot power.
Freekicks? He's golden: 92 base accuracy (99 with Engine) and 90 curve with 88 shot power...plus he has FK Specialist specialty.
Corners? 86 long passing, 90 curve and Corner Specialist trait. Done deal.
With his strength and Long Throw trait he can chuck it right into the box for a header.
95 base crossing and especially early crossing (Early Crosser trait) - 99 with Engine chem style
Corner Specialist with stats to back it up
FK Specialist with stats to back it up
94 penalties
Defensive traits and stats make him a killer-stalker in defense - Tackler & Tactician
Can run as an Engine instead of Shadow which translates to great offensive contribution

81 stamina doesn't quite cut it if you use him a lot in-game
MED-MED work rates - just make sure to signal him ahead on attack
He might be a very good starter in a Calcio A team, I use him in my BPL team as a super sub though. I got the idea from Nepenthez. He is an insane CDM, I can't even describe: the tackling is insane, he reaches so fast and clear that your confidence will rise because of him: and after he tackled, he delivers the most confident passes ever, because of his insane 88 passing (!!!!), in which curve is key, because he can deliver OP long passes as well.
Because of this I advise to use him in a 4-2-3-1. I used many CDMs, Kanté, Matic, Bakayoko, IF Fernandinho etc. But everyone is lacking in something crucial, either in stellar defending, or in passing, or in pace. The fact that IF Fernandinho is 180k is insane, because he plays like a piece of garbage compared to this card.
When I'm leading, I sub him in sometimes as a left CAM: he is an insane playmaker and crosser, and he comes back to stop the attacks easily. (Honestly you don't really need two winger-type players in this formation, one can be a box to box kind of player).
Tackling, interceptions, fast and crisp passing make him an insane CDM.
Also, he's quite tall!
As a supersub he has 5 chemistry, but I never felt him lackluster. I can't imagine how good he might be as a starter with an anchor.
Packed TOTY Bonucci as an untradable and needed to fit him into my squad so picked Rodriguez up to replace Alaba. Wasn't thrilled about having to drop Alaba to the bench but after a couple games with Rodriguez, I quickly changed by tune. If anything, I'd say I prefer him over Alaba at this point. I've played him for a significant number of games as both a LB and LWB and he's stood out in both positions. I play him with a Shadow chem style to maximize his pace and defending and I can't say he's lacking in any other ratings after doing so - he's very solid defensively and his passing/shooting are phenominal. He's my primary free kick, left side corner, and PK taker and he excels in all those areas. Crossing is excellent and he gets back on D quickly. Highly recommend him.

- Only con from my perspective is stamina - I end up having to replace him around the 75 min mark in many games as I tend to attack a lot with my LB/RB. A more conservative player with those positions may not have the same issues.
