82 - TOTGS
During the TOTGS promotion i managed to pack this card from my FUT champions rewards and stored him in the club to sell at a later date. What i didnt expect was that in the following weekend league i would go one a 5 game losing streak and found myself looking at changing up my team. i decided that the position i needed upgrading was my striker to pair with Crespo(87) and found myself looking at his stats next to jesus and chose to give him a shot and i havent looked back since.
he has been on par with crespo in my opinion as i found he makes better runs then him and also has a greater ability to run passed players. The only diffence is the physicality crespo brings and the 4*4* but i would not say that it would be worth the 800k to upgrade. TOTGS Kokorin is one of my favourite ST in this game and i believe that more people need to give some of these low level special cards a go as alot of them will turn out to be far better than the plastic premier league players we all fall back on (eg. martial, jesus, bailey, ederson)

When TOTGS was released, I wanted to try to get on of them as some of the cards were nice like Firmino and Kimmich. I ended up packing Kokorin and Rigoni. At first, I was disappointed with my pulls. I decided to give them a go before selling them and changed my mind.
I created a team with these two along MLS MVP and Valeri doesn't look to bad himself. However, they were amazing for me on FUT Champs and Squad Battles (Legendary). In 10 games, Kokorin gave me back 9 goals and 5 assists with me going 6-0 in FUT Champs. Rigoni gave me 3 goals with 11 assists. These two are definitely worth 11 k if not more. Try to get them while they are cheap. If possible try to get a chem style like Marksman.
His pace is definitely a pro as he isn't even that slow, as he is also agile enough to get past Varanes and Baillys.
His passing isn't half bad either as he does have 84 short passing so if you play a false 9, you can drop him back a bit and play balls through to your wingers as that is what I did as I had Rigoni and Shatov.
Dribbling his amazing as he can get out of tight situations and he has very nice touch when playing crosses to him. He also has half decent composure at 83, but sometimes he may miss sitters if you are not careful as sometimes with the elite finishers, if you just tap the shoot button, it will go in.
His strength isn't the best as he can be pushed off the ball quite easily if you do not have the right chem style.
If you are really trying to criticize, then you can say he has bad defending, but he is a striker.
For under 15k, this card has, on paper, what I think is essential to being an incredibly efficient goal-scorer and chance creator. Over my time using him I found him a little frustrating in the sense that it doesn't live up to the potential that I think it has but, despite this, I still believe that for the money you pay for the card you cannot really go wrong. He currently has a goal-game ratio of 1:1 which shows he isclinical and this is, like I mentioned earlier, without him performing at his full potential. In terms of his team-play he can pass a ball fairly well and can create chances really well from this, however this may not be useful to you if your midfielders are not the best finishers as he creates more chances for his teammates than he gets in terms of chances himself. Another aspect to his game that is only okay is his physical stats. Not the best at heading but then again he isn't the tallest which hinders him, but on the other hand is fairly strong making him hard to push off the ball. If you need a Russian striker this is your best option if you want a compete forward that has many different aspects to his game rather than just being good in one way eg Dzyuba with his physicality.
- Pace: With some players on the game, despite high pace stats they still feel sluggish however I have not found Kokorin to suffer from this. On the other end of the spectrum some players feel faster than they're card states they are, but yet again this is not the case for Kokorin. His 88 pace is certainly a positive therefore but don't expect him to outpace every player on the game.
- Shooting: On his right foot he is extremely clinical; always putting shots on target with a strong majority going in. Similarly, on his stronger foot his finesse shot is effective from any reasonable distance.
- Dribbling: He has quite good flair and excellent agility. Sometimes his first touch can be slightly heavy but it rarely causes him to loses the ball. His dribbling is fairly strong but is certainly helped by his agility.
- Weak foot: Has been poor for me. I from from expecting to score if the ball is on his strong foot to expecting the ball to miss if its on his weaker foot. Most finesse shots will go wide of the post if on his left foot despite them being really easy shots. Apart from his however, his weak foot doesn't affect other aspects of his game i.e. his passing.
- Positioning: It's not the biggest negative and sometimes can be quite good, but for my play style he is never quite in the right place at the right time. He makes really unusual runs at times that it wouldn't make any logical sense to pass to him, but then the rest of the time he stands with his back to goal playing more like a target man which is frustrating when he has such high pace and dribbling. Like I say though, this is not every game and sometimes his positioning is fairly good.
