Purchased this bad boy for 2.1 Million, it is a bit cheaper now but he is even worth more than what I paid.

The fact that you can place him as CA< changes everything, because the best formations in FIFA 18 have multiple CAM positions, allowing you to use the likes of Gullit, Del Piero, Suarez IF and this baby.

So this year I got really FIFA rich - taking a break for a couple of years, I really wanted to take no prisoners this year. I tested pretty much every card there is.

This 95 Messi has got three attributes that make him the bigges gamechanger I've found - this exact team I'm rocking, I've tried often times with any other central CAM else of messi... its just not clicking.

• CAM / Acceleration: Messi as a CAM can get Space like no other player, get doubled, open up space, ripping holes
• Stay in Posession: He is weak, but somehow due to his Balance and Dribbling and Agility you can't get him off the Ball + he got those perfect 4* skills, I even consider better than 5* because you need LT+RT for the Heel Flick
• Low Drivens are insane on both Feet & Finess Shots deadly on his left, even from far out

There is one thing that makes him 100 times better than 95 CR7 to me: His Balance, CR7 gets me absolutely mad, because it looks like he is just looking to jump away from the ball, giving away posession all the time, same as Pogba. Now, ofc thats down to my lack of skill surely, but I had great fun with TOTY Kane and SBC Gignac, I like strong big players, like 88 Legend Vieira also. But Messi, forget about his weakness, he just doesn't loose possession, so why bother?

I scored big on SBC TOTW 15 UPGRADE (untradeable) and landed this Messi card.

For some reason I have never managed to bring out the best of Messi in my gameplay.

Ive owned his Gold card a couple of times, but hes never made an inpact in my team, he was never there when I needed him.

Sure, its my playstyle that is wrong and not the card.

In the moment I landed his card I was delighted, then my doubt from earlier experience sneaked in and I hated the fact that I couldn’t cash in.

So I decided to change his position to CAM and try him out in some 1 div season play.

I gave him a Finisher cem style, just to boost his strength. Formation was 41212

The first 3 games was terrible, I instructed him to stay in attack. He got constantly bullied by my opponents CDM and defenders, he was stationary, and when finishing he seemed stressed :-)

I decided to give him stay forward and free roam in game 4. He started as a CAM in 41212 and suddenly came alive. He was all over the place and ended the game with 3 goals and 1 assist. I also tried him as a false 9 in 433(5) and he delivered every game.

I like his balance and agility – makes it easy to dribble without any skill moves. His pace is good, but only on short distance. Finishing is absolutely fantastic. Strength – I honestly don’t know what I think, it varies a lot, some situations he is great and others not. But compared to other lightweights like Dybala, Probes (SBC) Hagi, he seems overly week.

Would I buy this guy? NO!

Why? Because 2 mill can get you better talent

Is he now a first player on my team? YES :-)

I have tried him at ST AND CAM he costed me 2M and I thought he was going to be very good but he really let me down , however he has a nice shot but he is just to week, it feels like he has 75 pace, all the defenders run faster tha him.

I think hernandez 90 rated is much better than him since he runs faster and he is stronger
