Played with this team so far in FUT Champs and it is carrying me. I switch in game to 41212(2) and put overmars and Alessandrini at striker, with giovinco playing CAM. I used to have Rui Costa in this position, and I can honestly say Giovinco has performed as well if not better for me. Don't be put off by his low stature (he's only 5'4), he does not often get bodied off the ball and his high agility and balance keep him light on his feet. The SBC was really cheap (futbin overprices it) and it only cost me 15K after all the packs. If you are considering doing the SBC, do it now! Defenders in the MLS are cheap right now and I was sniping bronzes and silvers for minimum throughout the day to finish this for barely anything. Player prices in the MLS will most likely rise this week as more people play with this card and recommend it.

I had more MLS untradeable cards so i decided to build a squad around Giovinco.

This guy is unreal with maestro chemistry!!

He is fast enough, don't think that sprint speed is a deal breaker in this position.

He has 91+ rating in the most important shooting / dribbling / passing stats.

Put him in a triangle with Hero ALTIDORE (Hunter chem 92 rated striker) + EOAE PIRLO (give him a little pace boost) and you can build any hybrid squads for cheap price.

In anticipation for the MLS SBC i have bought all the golds from this league. I started the SBC with 25k and progressively open the rewards for each club once i have finished it. To my surprise those 25k were enough. So i got Gio for pretty much nothing.

Now moving on to his card...

PACE - NOT GREAT. BEWARE!!! This Giovinco card has 78 sprint speed which means he can not outrun defenders like Musa or Rashford. His card is very different from last year. BUT his 92 acceleration helps him to get in behind very easily which gives him an advantage when it comes to outrunning defenders.

SHOOTING - GREAT. His finishing is amazing as well as his long shots. The fact that he has 90 composure also helps a lot when it comes to one on one chances.

PASSING - GOOD. His passing is decent. He dose not make mistakes too often. You can feel the difference between him and other pacey strikers with low passing stats. If you want to use him as a CAM he will get you many assists.

DRIBBLING - GREAT. His agility and balance on the ball are amazing.

DEFENDING - DOSE NOT MATTER.

PHYSICALITY - DECENT. But because his sprint speed is not the greatest he gets pushed away quite often by defenders like Bailly or Van Dijk.

OVERALL - For me it is a good investment for 25k, but if you want to do this SBC and hope for a great pacey beast like Musa DO NOT WASTE YOUR COINS. IF you can get it for cheap it is a special card worth doing especially if you have ADP or that Pirlo 91 card. If you don't have icons or players from Italy he can be a decent super sub but I would not recommend him over the like of Lozano, Musa 81, Jesus etc.

I have been waiting for this guy to drop for a couple months now, I invested in MLS guys off the hop and waiting... And im glad I did.

I did the SBC Friday and immediately made up a squad to put him in and started up my Weekend league journey.

Gio made a huge impact on this team really being the focal point of the attack and the creative build up. I really feel like CF/CAM is the perfect position for the Atomic Ant. Guy has silky smooth dribbling mixed in with the 4* Skills and his pin point passes makes him a perfect #10. His shooting is very good too, is clinical infront of goal and can put them in from distance bagging me 3 absolute rockets. Along with his free kicks as they are almost life like with some of the strikes I took. Saying this he does get bodied here and there off the ball but for the most part you can wave threw defenders making their lives miserable. Being 5'4 is not too big of an issue, hes not the best in the air (obviously) but he doesn't need to be as that isn't apart of his game.

Honestly if you are on the fence about doing this SBC, do it. Plain and simple. You will get a very good card/useable card in Giovinco plus the packs it is 100% worth. I'm glad I did.
