93 - TOTY

What a player
By tompicken96, 28-02-2018

The man is an animal, obviously his stats are insane being a TOTY card, but my god don't you know it in game. At the time of this review, Alves has 62 up-votes and 105 down-votes. I would definitely be taking more notice of the up-votes on this card, as I think it's kind of obvious the people who have down-voted this card are people who voted for Valencia to win TOTY right back and are slightly salty he didn't win (prepare for this review to be down-voted by those exact people). Anyway, Dani Alves, the card is mental. He will stay at a consistent level of greatness for 90 minutes, he covers every blade of grass on the pitch and if you really want to you can switch him in game to any position you like and he will still be great. I'm a silver 1 player in FUT Champs at best, but since i've had this guy for the last couple of weekends Gold 2 has come with ease because of how this card switched defence to attack so quickly.

  • Great all round right back
  • Great going forward, great at getting back and also at staying back and doing his part in the defence
  • Passes like Pirlo
  • Dribbles like any of the best wingers
  • Incredible all round stats
  • For not the tallest/biggest of guys, he's got great strength and heading, along with amazing pace
  • Might not be within everyone's budget, but if he is then get him

What a card
By Mars198, 20-01-2018

First of all, I was really depressed with my Pack Luck so D.Alves was the only TOTY Card I was able to buy without selling other Players. And man, it was the right thing to do. His Workrates are a lie. He runs up and down the pitch like he is on fire. His passing ist good and he made 5 Assists in 4 Weekend League Games. His defending is also great. I haven´t seen one Opponent who bullied him. The only thing I don´t like about him, is his finishing. But he is a RB so thats fine I guess.

Compared to Valencia 83, Meunier Futmas, Walker and Vrsjalko SIF he is the best Card I played on the RB Position.

So overall he is worth a try IF you have the coins and you don´t have to change your whole team for him (PSG/League1 Players can be hard to link in my opinion).

  • Fast
  • Great Defending
  • Workrates are a lie. He feels like a high/high Workrate Player
  • Good Passer

  • hard to link
  • finishing
  • maybe the price. but he is a toty card. so I guess it´s not that expenisve

absolutely quality imo
By sambirmingham, 22-01-2018

I bought him for 579k only for him to drop 150k 20 minutes later but i dont care, hes quality. I bring him on immediately into the right cam position and he does great. 4231 is great for him in that position as he stays forward, good at pressin and intercepting, his crossing is quality, and he is FAST. for someone with 2 stats less than 80 he should cost a lot more. ive played him in champs, squad battles, and online seasons.

fast

crossing

stamina

positioning

long shots

low drivens

wins a lot of freekicks

sometimes heading

gets out muscled but seems to always lead to a freekick

3* weak foot and skills

What a card
By jordydetier, 31-01-2018

First of all I was a little scared because of the price tag. But after a few games I am glad i did it.

Like you can see in the squad I played him on 7 chem en switched ingame to a 41212(2) with him on the right cm. After a little bit of comparing between dani alves, petit and mattheus I found that with the price of dani alves he was the best option.

Pace:

With his 93 pace he can run down up and down the field in notime. He catches up with almost everybody and because of his agility and balance he also feels insanly quick. Because of the formation he often switches with Hagi and plays as my cam. I found the one two passes very affective with his pace.

Shooting:

His card suggests 66 finishing which seems very low and yes, he sometimes misses a chance. But his shotpower seems to overwrite the finishing stat. What I advice to do is use his low driven shots because they seem very OP with this card. Also his weak foot isn't that big of a problem as a thought. Inside the box his low drivens are just as good with his left. Outside the box his left foot is almost useless. Now we are talking about shots outside the box he scores a lot of bangers if you know how to hit long shots. For long shots I advice across body shots. He is best on the counter though

Passing:

Not much to say here. His passing is just class it lives up to his stats. The vision, short pass and long pass are almost every time perfect.

dribbling:

His dribbling suprised me the most. He feels very quick with the ball and turns instantly. I had no problems getting by a player with some little zig zags

defending:

This is a bit of a tricky one. Because i play him at right cm he doesn't defend that much but he sometimes tracks back and get a tackle in. Although his defending is 88 he isn't the best at it. His tackles sometimes just go back to the player or are just not accurate enough but that could be user error.

physical:

This is maybe the biggest issue with the card. He is pretty weak and gets pussed around when going shoulder to shoulder with a strong player. But I need to say because of his balance and agility and agression just do a drag back and you should be good.

conclusion:

He is by far the best right cm i ever used and will not be replaced very quickly. Hagi and him are my two rocks at the midfield and are gamechangers. Dani alves gets every much an assist or a goal minimum.

I played him in div 2 and 3 games against friends. In fut champs I am a gold1/ elite 3 player

The Best RB in the Game
By KFCManager227, 22-03-2018

ToTY Alves in FIFA 18 is just as good as ToTY Alves in FIFA 17, if not better. He is a complete player and is capable of doing it all. I instruct my LB and RB to stay back while attacking, but he is perfectly capable of making runs up the field and contributing to a goal. In addition to that, he is incredibly cheap for such a rare high-rated player.

  1. Perfect pace
  2. Perfect passing for a RB
  3. Perfect dribbling for a RB
  4. Great at defending and has a high motor (his low defensive work rate is a lie)
  5. Very accurate corner passes
  6. Incredible shooting for a RB
  7. Never gets tired
  1. Feels incredibly weak at times due to his low strength rating and it can affect his ability to defend
