81 - IF
Meite is rock solid at the base of your midfield let me get that point out first with a back bone chem style he allowed my other two midfielders in the 4-3-2-1 to push on and influence the game more, because i knew that if I lose the ball, I've got this guy protect my back line.
His stats (with Backbone):
73 PAC - Obviously no where near as quick as Kante, but this amount is more than enough to catch other midfielders and target man type forwards. He struggles to catch pacey and tricky wingers and strikers but that is explainable.
58 SHO - Went pretty unnoticed but can pop up with a nice hit to score or work the keeper when he's lurking just outside the area.
86 PAS - Really, really good. Most of his short and long balls hit the target which I've noticed Bakayoko and Kante cant quite do on the level of consistency that Meite achieves
80 DRI - Felt okay, better than Bakayoko but not quite on the level of Kante - which is fair cos he's way taller. But Meite does have the ability to beat a man and control the ball well.
88 DEF - ROCK SOLID. I was playing a team with Luis Suarez leading the line and i only realised that Suarez was in the game around the 80 minute mark, because Meite tracked him and had him in his pocket for the entire 90. Positionally excellent too, only comes upfield to join the attack when control him.
91 PHY - AGAIN ROCK SOLID. He was shrugging Suarez off the ball all game long so much so Suarez picked up an injury, He again was controlling the midfield and winning possession which freed KDB and Modric to supply the chances for Martial, Mbappe and Dembele. Had good stamina as well to keep up with the strikers late into games
