first of all i used a shadow on him which i guess made him a total beast in the defense.He is simply ruthless aggression but without causing fouls his tackling are effective and rough his sliding tackles are own of their own he 90% will get the ball and slides really far his High/High workrates let him always be in the game at the defensive and even at the offense but his most dangerous weapon are his long passing with l1+triangle it says only 76 but it feels almost like 90 i played him in 20 games and he made 5 assists and lots of dangerous actions with his long passes which leaded lot times to an goal or forced the opponent to foul in the box i tried van dijk before and david luiz but both are bad in my oppinion they are not the safest in the defense but vertonghen is i payed 80k for him instead of doing an icon sbc like puyol or spending big money on azpilicueta or 140k on ake (which is in my oppinion not really safe too i raped him when i saw him at my opponents team hes easy to pass by because he seems to not always standing right and acts more like and cdm) he is definetly a rock in the defense like a chinese wall he is also really amazing in marking he stays always where he has to be only his headers seemed to be weak in offense but always clear situations in the defense hes one to keep !

Vertonghen the best defender in the PL

Vertonghen stops everything and I mean everything, when someone shoots the ball Vertonghen extends his beautiful Belgian legs and stops the shot and when he is on full chem he might even crack a little longshot against your sweaty opponent.

-Really good at defending in general.

-Amazing tackler

-Great on the ball

-Easy to link, great club and nation

-He has a perfect height

-Great passer

-Lonsghots

-Freekicks

-He plays like Puyol and Bailly on crack

-Rating deserves to be higher

-Pace maybe, if you like sweaty defenders like Bailly

-Price, he is quite expensive for a defender but 60k is really good for this card

He is an amazing centre back, ignore the pace.

Because his defending is so high, his positioning means that he doesn't really need to run that much, and if he does he is decent with a shadow.

Amazing player. Much better than mustafi, ake, and david luiz

One of the bests in PL

Well to start off i had been using Halloween Kompany and SIF Mustafi for over 400 games, i decided to get sell Kompany for Vertoghen, i was just a little worried about his height since Halloween Kompany never losses a header but guess what, he is WAY better than Halloween Kompany, he seems way faster then 69 speed he just feels good to move around with. Bottom line he might be the best PL defender right now, but i'd still say SIF who he pares up with for me is just at his level or a little better.

Has high jumping so wins most headers
Great at defending.
