90 - FUT Birthday
5.0
Worth Every Coin
By Dembelbae, 17-03-2018

I sold my whole team to buy this card (Reus is my favorite player ever), and I was just amazed at how much it was worth it. He is incredible in every way possible. He can score, set up goals, dribble like crazy, win 50/50s and even press effectively, which is rare in Fifa. Despite his 86 card being OP as hell, this is like 1000000 times better. Even using players like TOTY Messi and Ronaldo in FUT Draft, I have never felt a card that flows so well. There are legitimately no flaws in this card, only incredible aspects. I sold most of my team, but just by adding Reus I am winning a lot more Weekend League. P.S. USE HIM WITH BATSHUAYI 87 RATED!

A lethal finisher
By JamieXO, 03-04-2018

I monitored Reus' price for a little while and finally took the plunge when he dropped under 600K (595K to be precise). I played about 5-10 games with him, a couple of them being against friends. He didn't perform well at all, scoring maybe 2 or 3 in this time and probably assisting a similar number. I had been pairing him with base Aubameyang (BVB version) - I had thought that the pace up top would be too much to handle for people, but I found that the partnership wasn't working and therefore swapped PEA out for OTW Batshuayi.

Let me tell you - this partnership is LETHAL. It's like Reus is completely transformed - he's getting at least a goal and an assist a game and just seems like the pair of them can score whenever they like, from wherever they like.

His finishing is sublime and the pace comes in handy too.

Best CAM I ever used
By saporules, 14-04-2018

I'm not a good player, but I'm a constant one, and I'd never saved as much money as I did to buy this card, I bougth it for 500K and was the best investment I've ever made. I used his NIF card as RF and provided me with a lot of goals and assists, but using it as CAM is the best way to put it to good use.

He's pace is just incredible, and using his dribbling habilities make the defenders go nuts trying to stop his shoots. Great finishing, also great from long distances, his vision and passes are perfect. Is only bad when the game uses handicap and you instantly notice it.

As I already said, it was a great investment, because, I can do hat tricks, even poker goals, but when not, always is good to give you an assistance.

Best Player I've Used This Year
By rvag, 19-03-2018

What. A. Player. I don't like obnoxious reviews but I cannot understate how good this card is. I am a huge Dortmund fan and by extension a huge Reus fan but I won't let my bias sway this review. I've used good players this year: SIF Ronaldo, SIF Messi, SIF Aguero, IF Aubameyang, etc. Reus is my favorite among all of them and felt better than all of them, except maybe Messi. Messi has a better shot but Reus feels a lot stronger so they kind of balance out. Everything about this Reus card is sublime.

His pace and strength are very good, and the stamina boost to this card is very noticeable: it feels much better than his normal gold card. His finesse shots, long shots, and low-driven shots all feel great. His free kicks are great as well. I know scoring direct from free kicks has fallen on the wayside this year, but this card will change that for the better. Anywhere near the penalty area and Reus will slot home a free kick with ease.

As for downsides, he isn't a giant so winning headers isn't a guarantee but he has decent jumping and height so they may come every now and then. His skill moves feel a little aggressive, meaning the ball won't stay on his feet as tightly as you'd want. But this may create goal opportunities so it's not a huge downside. The only other con is that he has the injury-prone trait so he does pick up an injury every now and then but injury cards are relatively cheap this year so, again, no problem.

All in all, if you have the coin I would recommend buying Birthday Cake Reus. He is a fantastic player and my definite favorite of FIFA 18. As a final note, I know I have a good team around him but he could honestly play in any team as long as you can afford him. Let him be the trophy among your low-rated golds and non-special cards: he will deliver.
