I bought welbeck in form as soon as it came out for 30k and thought that with his stats it was extremely cheap. I first played him as a left mid in the wide 41212 formation. I found that he constantly gave the ball away when passing and wasn't very good at assisting,crossing or setting up my strikers who are jesus and kane. I also played him at left wing but he was waaaaay to slow to play at left wing even after i added hunter ti him. He isn't very slow but he was slow enough so that full back such as valencia and sandro easily caught up and tackled him. Finally, i played him at striker along with jesus and he did play better. He was able to hold up the ball well for some time due to his 86 strength (marksman chem style) and could dribble pretty well. However, he was't clinical enough in front of goal and often hit the post or hit it straight at the goalie while my jesus banks it in overtime. Also, his 67 balance is a HUGE issue.It feels like he has 30 balance and falls down if any defender touches him while he's dribbling. I think he would be good for people looking for a strong yet fast striker but not as a left wing or left mid.
