Marchisio is one of the best box-to-box midfielders this year. Probably the second best non special box to box midfielder only surpassed by Nainggolan - and Marchisio costs less than 1/10 of Nainggolan's price. I use Marchisio as left CM in a 4-3-2-1 and switches to 4-1-2-1-2 (2) in game, where he also plays left CM. I use a hawk chemistry style on him to boost his pace, shooting and physical.
Marchisio is the player that, even though you tell him to stay back, will get forward and score goals and create assist. But that is okay with me, because his high/high work rates does that he will be back in the defence right after.
- Positioning and his runs are the best things about him. If you cross the ball Marchisio will always stand at the right place to score.
- Pace is very good for a CM
- Dribbling is good
- Passing is very good.
- 4* skills and 4* weak foot is amazing
- Defending is stable
- Heading feels much better than 68
- Longshot is alright
- Strength is not the best
- Finishing inside the box is nothing special
I bought him near the start of the game and he has played quite a lot of games for me because he is so consistent. I can't really fault him to be honest. The 4 star/4 star is so useful especially when attacking. I use him in a 4321 and sometimes I play him in the middle (pretty decent defending) alongside IF Pjanic and Hamsik. I also play him on the left of the middle and he is so good there- he scores long shots and often ones at close range in the box (although his finishing is often not great at close range) I use him with catalyst and I think he's the best CM I have at the moment. I highly recommend getting him especially as approx 12K for him is very good value.

has been a mainstay in my midfield last 2 yrs, does everything you could ask for in a cm starts attacks, wins balls, doesnt turn the ball over, knocks in med-long range shots, etc. I run him with a shadow and he seems to play faster than his pace would suggest, not kante but gets a lot of turnovers

I had bought Marchisio only due to the fact he got strong links to my Alex Sandro, and Chiellini. With a 4* / 4*, I was more then happy to try his card. I was so shocked to see he Played in game. I play him in a 4321 along side Fernandinho and Tolisso's inform. But He stands out more then anyone in the centre of my pitch. Amazing passing, Height to win the ball, Strength was surprisingly great. I have also applied a shadow to his card as i have him on Stay back while attacking, where he still defends and pushes forward. I ended up selling Alex Sandro and Chiellini, but I Kept him in my club just due to how good he is.
