Why is everybody discarding him?

When i first saw this card, the first thing that struck me was his rating and price. A 90 rated fullback going for 80k. This surely cannot be true. I pored over his stats and there wasnt a single flaw i could find in him. I had SIF Kolasinac as my leftback and after trying Robertson TOTS for 7 games, i stuck with Kolasinac. However given that he costs just as much as Kolasinac, i decided to give him a try.

The chemistry style that i applied on him was Anchor. Now, i am a player who like his fullbacks to stay back so his 76 stamina didnt really worry me. For 80k, you are getting yourself an absolute bargain!!! Think of this guy as a Jamie Carragher but with Pirlo like passing. He will chase your opponent down (that is if he couldnt intercept the ball in the first place). His workrates are absolutely perfect for my play style. The crisp passing after an interception sets me off on an immediate counter. His pass never fails to find his man.

His workrates are a God Send for me. Usually when i concede a goal it is usually after a corner and the opponent counters and no one is there to cover. Not anymore. Hernandez knows when to commit to an attack and when not to. When the camera pans to the left or the right after the opponent counters usually a sense of dread fills me but now it is the opponent who has to dread because when the camera pans, this man is there with impeccable positioning which forces the opponent to check his run and allow my TOTS Otamendi and Koscielny (for chem purposes) to get back to their positions and stop the counter and potentially a goal. A note of caution though, he is not your overlapping, crossing into the box leftback, he is more of a steely, stop the opponent from scoring at all costs defender - my kind of fullback. he has improved my backline so much that i didnt concede in 7 online games . Whoever it may be, this guy right here will match him move for move and intercept the ball at the right moment and launch a gem of a pass that will begin my own counter.

Lets not forget the fact that he can be a monster of a central defender should you require him there!!!

stamina - but it hasnt been an issue for me because i have his instructions set to stay back. He can last the whole game with fuel to spare. Never one to give stupid penalties away.

I am so over the moon to finally get the defender i have always wanted at such a ridiculously low price. Before you throw him into an sbc or sell him. Give this guy a chance, the defensive cover he provides is unlike anything i have seen.

Why is so good?

Okay what is this guy?

So i dont have enough coin to buy ferdinand icon or expensive CB but i try a lot of CB under 100k but no one (except kolasinac birth) impressed me like him.

Seriously, i try him as a CB in 7 chem and he did the job so damn well against icon and tots...

All the defensive stats are true, he's a perfect cb for me:

Decent left back

I would like to start this review by saying he is by no means a top quality left back or centre back. However for 60k he is one of the best bargains you will be able to get, he is always there when needed and he has great strength and with a shadow his face feels really nice. I recommend putting the instruction of stay back while attacking due to his low stamina

Use as CB at your peril

Got him as part of the TOTS SBC and his stats are terrible for a LB so this was literally the most disappointed I've been since I packed Pope in the PL TOTS SBC. Then I read the reviews about him apparently being a great CB and when I compared his stats on 7 chem to Rio Ferdi Prime I thought ok we've got something here. But that's where the excitement ends.

I tried him in the WL and a few Online seasons games and he's terrible. What I found with him is his AI tends to run towards the ball and not hold his position leaving massive gaps for good players to exploit. Also I found him out of position nearly all the time I was trying to figure out where he had gone. He's also not as strong as you would expect and he rarely wins standing tackles. I have since returned to using Varane and I really notice the difference immediately my whole defense is tight again.

He also didn't feel very fast at all, felt more like 73 pace.

I heavily advise against using him as CB, he's gonna be a rubbish LB for most people with 74 stamina. Terrible card.
