So above is the squad I used him in, and playing with him is a joke sometimes, in a good way. We all know the MLS weekly objective going on this week, it's tough, gritty, and a good challenge for the games where you're not just trading goals. In one game, the guy has a full icon team plus 2 MLS players uptop. So I ask guy if we can trade goals, he says sure, scores his two, immediately pauses puts away his MLS players and brings on Henry, and Dinho. I go to score my 2nd and he's just playing like a knob. I get my 2nd goal by half time, and bring on Messi for Alessandrini.
Messi procedes to show him the kinda player he is, beating Nesta and Desailly to 2 header goals, flying past Carlos on the wing, making better passes than I've ever made. I knew he was godly but this was the game that showed me his otherworldly abilities. Just thrashing defenses in a half to net me 4 goals in his 2nd game for me.
- He will get you those extra wins, in WL its very obvious certain players will help you get those extra wins/decide those tight game, he is definitely one of them.
- The stats don't lie, his card feels like what he is a 98 rated striker that is as lethal in passing as he is scoring.
- The workrates, my god. It's like they transposed him, he just kinda stays dormant waiting in the right position not making to many runs unless you trigger him to, but when you get the ball at his feet, you can just feel the dribbling magic.
- The only major con I could find was also a positive, the work rates, at striker he wasn't pressing the backline as much as I'd like him to, so I set him to false 9 and with the M/M WR this fixed the problem.
- Also, the other con, is he worth 2.4 million, I honestly can't say. This is the first version of Messi I've ever owned/packed. But after playing with this card, I could justify someone spending around 2 on him easily.
So, like everybody else, I did the TOTS LaLiga SBC.
I opened the pack, I saw that argentinian flag, Striker....Barcelona......and then Leo Messi. I didn't know how to react, as my pack luck untill now has been garbage.
I am a Cristiano Ronaldo fan in real life. In Fifa18 I only played that TOTY Ronaldo in online draft, but I gotta say that Leo Messi feels so much better in game. Maybe because I am used to play with players that have great agility stats, idk.
Up until now my highest rated card was POTY Mo freakin' Salah, also 98 rated. I was so satisfied with Salah's performance, but hats off to Leo Messi. He is just from another galaxy. He is everywhere on the pitch, and is fast as hell. And by the way, the ball is glued to his foot. He eclipses anyone. Even tough has the same overall rating as Salah, he is way way waaaaay better.

some might say height, but I managed to score even headers with him so I don't think height is really an issue here.
I think he should have been 5 stars skills, but I think they didnt want to break the game (he is so OP)
I never thaught it would be possible to pack him. Normally, my pack luck is very very bad. But i got La Pulga in the La Liga Santandet Premium SBC Upgrade. I Play him as a CAM behind TOTS Higuain! I can't describe enough how unfair this card is, an absolutely gamechanger for everybody! Let's begin with the crazy thing first: Finesse shots outside the penalty box. Just make a Finesse shot with Messi and 99.9% it is a Goal. I have never seen something unfair in my fifa carreer! Finishing insiede Penalty box, flawless, impossible to miss! Dribbling...as I personally use a lot of skill moves in every Fifa, you can imagine how fluently and incredibly fast it is with Leo. And he is so quick, agile and fast on the ball. Passing from Messi is on Point! He sees everything on the pitch. Every little gap, every run from your striker! And the pass will get there! I was also surprised how physically good this card is. Sure if Ramos/Ferdinand is close to Messi it is over but it's not that easy to get the ball away from him! In my 96 Games with Leo he made 106 Goals and 60 Assists. All Division 1 und Weekend League Gameplay's! I'm a Cristiano Ronaldo Fan, but man o man this Card is so so so so so good!
