So finally, finally there is an usable right winger from the Bundesliga! I've been waiting all Fifa 18 for this, so as soon as I've found out about this card I just had to get him.

Never been a big fan of his personally, I decided to give him a try because of those unreal stats and rating. And I haven't been disappointed at all!

I am currently playing a Bundesliga-only-team, mostly thanks to Robben. Prior to that I had an All-Ligue 1-Squad, featuring Prime Henry, Depay TOTS and Mbappe TOTS. As mentioned before, I found out about this card and off we go - sold all of them french players including HENRY and got myself a Bundesliga-Team.

Chem-Style used here is Finisher as I tried to boost his strenght and jumping. Nothing else to boost left, really.

My formation of choice is 4-3-2-1.

First of all: you cannot play him as a right mid. He won't work in the back due to his work rates being High/Low.

His attacking however is absolutely brilliant and I mean it. Literally every single shot he takes goes in. He is just as deadly in the box as he is from the outside of it. A real nightmare for defenders.

Probably the best thing about this card or Robben in general is: He is absolutely predictable! 2*-WF makes him, just like in real life, speeding from the right side into the middle of the pitch to shoot (and score). That's not a secret at all, his right foot really is bad, in-game and in real life. But somehow I've figured that this makes him pretty brilliant. I mean, just in the moment when my opponents think "now he's doing the Robben-thing" I turn and pass the ball into the middle, where Werner TOTS is patiently waiting to score. Do this twice in the same match and then just take on a long shot with him while doing so and I'll guarantee: He will become one unpredictalbe bald god!

Just brilliant, I mean you can use his weakness for your advantage.

I've used sooo many players this year's FIFA, including dozens of right wingers. This one, pink Robben, is my favourite by faaaar. In my opinion Messi TOTY is the only one to compare him to. For me personally, Salah TOTS cannot come close.

His heading is great (don't trust the stats on this one), stamina is okay (considering the workrates), dribbling is not of this world...but the most outstanding thing is his shooting...just try out, he won't disappoint! Volleys easily go in (in that case often even with his weak foot!), long shots turn to goals 9 times out of 10. His positioning, combined with his workrates makes him a biiig threat to any defender!

Arjen Robben's 88 rated card was by far one of the best base cards I had used in this installment of fifa, period. His crippling stamina was overshadowed by his precise dribbling and insane finishing, so naturally when I saw this card come out a couple months ago I was refreshed to see him having 80 stamina! But, after five games, I was left with a sour taste in my mouth!

HE DOES NOT HAVE 98 PACE! I do not care what the stats say, he plays like he is 93 paced AT MOST. He is incapable of creating solid space from defenders and is caught more times than not by average defenders. His pace is super solid, but it prevents him from being classified as a game-changer.

Robben's shooting would be 10/10 if it wasn't for his 2 star weak foot. Out of 31 shots taken, 6 of them were squandered by his weak foot. His left is incredible, and if you are capable of keeping shots to his left foot alone, he's money.

Dribbling was exactly what you would expect from Arjen, and his ability to create space via skill moves is almost unmatched! Speaking of creating space, Robben is incapable of bodying a bug! He will always lose the physical battle, and his dribbling alone isn't enough to consistently keep possession.

Conclusion:

The stats on this card made my expectations skyrocket, so naturally I was disappointed by his negatives. But, this is still a great card! I just wouldn't build a squad around him, as he seems far more suited to be a creator than a finisher. Don't use him at RM, as his Defending is nonexistent.
