OK so I did the Icon SBC, cost around 500k.

I Play 4-1-2-1-2 narrow, Rui Costa, Higuain and Sharer up top.

So far, after 20 games, he's been AMAZING, snatching 22 goals (Divs 1 & 2 seasons and some WL) and about 10 assists.

I'm using the Hawk Chem Style as the Long shot and PHY boost is more important to me than the pace I'd get with Hunter (which isn't the best, though very good for a striker still).

First, let's list what he isn't great at:

Dribbling: not very good, won't skip trough defenses
Heading: Won't win headers on corners. With a good cross he'll score though.
Weak foot not great.

Having said that, he's a FANTASTIC FINISHER! Almost every shot is a goal. His positioning is awesome, long shots are great. Just pass the ball to him near the box and it'll be a goal. Good finisher on counter attacks. He's way better than any other strike I've tried this year (Higuain, Lewa, Griezmann, SIF Icardi, Dybala, Mertens, etc)

The longshot king

I will keep this simple. This guy may not look as a beast and other players will probably be laughing when the see him on your team because of the low drilling stats and pace. However, they will meet their butcher once this guy starts taking long shots and finishing 99% of the opportunities inside of the box. I am writing this review in may after I tried most of the most expensive and op strikers. I have in my team 95 CR7, Tots Firmino, 93 Kane, 91 ST Bale, TOTS Son, Tots Salah, Prime Bergkamp, I play 4-3-3 and this guy is always the main man alongside Sarah and Son. Yes, he's not a Firmino on drilling, but once you turn with him and get an angle to shot, just try it and you'll see how fun it is to score stupid long shots with this Prime Shearer. By the way, I use a hunter on him. Passing is not the best, but OK. He also wins headers and scores from corners occasionally. For me he is a game changer and a very fun card to use.

Shooting, shooting, shooting.. finishing, long shots, penalties. Inside the box everything shot will be a goal

Weak foot (only sometimes, but I've scored a lot with it and cannot complain much)

Dribbling could be better

Stamina - I usually replace him on the 2nd half

WOW!!!!!

Yo! He is completely raw. Shearer is not like the other fish in the ocean. His shooting stats is completely out of the ordinary. he has good speed and an indescribable positioning. (((I replace Romeu with Pirlo, and Roberto with Meunier.))) I love him soooo much. He is like my son. He score goals all the time. I think he is fantastic....

The Consistent Beast (CAM or ST)

This guy has almost a goal every game even from CAM position. I play him next to or behind prime Larsson. Shearer is not the fastest but it's not that noticeable and he can bully defenders. This guy gets goals he has an absolute cannon.

Clinical!

I decided to go ahead and complete the Shearer SBC because of his shooting stats, more than anything else. Before him, I was using Crespo (87 ovr) and I decided to sell. I was not too sure whether or not to go for Shearer or Puyol, but WOW, was I happy to pick up Shearer.

The immediate factor in my delight at picking him up was indeed his shooting. It is amazing. If you have him, think of one thing; power. His finesse shots aren't the greatest, so it is best to try blast them in at either post. Without doubt, his heading was the best pro on his card. Once again, it's all about power. His height isn't too much of a problem as he often wins aerial duels with the likes of Fellaini and Smaling. Very similar player to Van Basten, and he reminds me of Mario Gomez's special cards around FIFA 12-FIFA 24.

I decided to put a finisher chem style on him. Even with a hunter, I don't think he has the agility, size, or balance to beat the best of defenders with shadow chems. Slapping a finisher on him polishes off his shooting stats and gives him that extra boost to aggression, strength, and jumping. His 3 star weak foot is fine too and will not be an issue.

As far as cons go, the only one I noticed was his 2 star skills. I am not a skiller, so it is not a problem for me. However, if using skill moves is vital to your play style, it's best to avoid him.
