Nemanja Matic is the definition of a CDM. Not as quick as Bakayoko but he still does the job just as well. With Matic's physical presence standing at 6'4 and having high defensive work rate. Matic acts like a 3rd CB in midfield making your team very good defensively.

PACE

I use an Anchor Chem Style on Matic making his pace go up to 71. His base 64 pace isn't bad either for a guy who is a giant. Honestly i would play him with an Anchor chem style because i like to be solid in defence especially in the midfield.

SHOOTING

All I can say is not bad. 75 long shots are ok on Matic but as long as he is on his left peg. If positioned well certainly give it a try from long range with Matic because it could get you a corner, rebound or even a goal.

PASSING

Matic actually has very good passing for a CDM. 83 Short Passing is a great stat for Matic. He has a fantastic ability to control midfield possession with CM's and wingers along side. 78 long passing and 75 vision mean he can also thread a through ball to CAM's and ST's if needed however i wouldnt reccomend it all the time.

DRIBBLING

Agility and Balance is irrelevant for Matic. He is not a midfielder that is going to dribble past the whole of the opposition defence. 78 Ball control means he has good dribbling ability and good shielding ability to keep opponents off of him. 82 reactions and 84 composure are very good as well. This 84 composure means Matic won't panic when a challenger comes his way to tackle or intercept.

DEFENDING

His Defending is very good. However his tracking back is a bit of an issue. Use his physical presence to not allow the opposition attackers to pass him. Very good defensive stats with an Anchor none the less.

PHYSICAL

The best part about his game is his Physical. Strength, Stamina and Aggression are all very good stats for him. He can run and work for most of the game but i find he usually has the lowest stamina come the end of a game and the automatic subs ask for him to be subbed off but he still feels good stamina wise. Matic can also out strengthen anyone that comes his way making him an amazing CDM. 81 jumping with an anchor makes him a threat at Corners but not amazing.
