I have used Idrissa for about 25 games now and I therefore think that he deserves a review. I have used him in a 4312 formation as the right CM or the central CM.
Overall I am very happy with Idrissa, he does the job well. I'm hoping he gets an inform with some decent shooting, that would really make him an unstoppable CM.

Gueye is one of my favorites CDM in this game, he is amazing.
First of all, i strongly recommend to use him as CDM with Shadow(so his defense will be better, but he's already is a excellent deffender) or Catalyst (he will pass the ball so much better, its good for counter-attacks) and his pace will be awesome!
As a CDM he have a very good pace, better with Chemestry Styles, he can run into an opponent and disarm him easily, thats becase he have amazing Def. skills (Standing Tackle 87 Sliding Tackle 85) thats why i think he's better with Catalyst.
He is strong, he dont lose the ball easily if you press L2/LT.
Be careful with crossing/aerial balls, he is very small (174cm | 5'8"), but if you have some guys like Varane in defense or Dele Alli in mid you will be ok.
But don't try to finish with him, it's terrible, actually he have a strong shot, but he misses the goal everytime.
He only have 2* skill, but a good agility(don't try to abuse of his agility, is good for a CDM but isn't perfect), and a very good ball control

Idrissa Gana Gueye is one of the most underrated players in the game. I see so many people with Matic and Bakayoko and rave about them all the time but Gana Gueye has to be included as one of the top CDM's in the EPL. I used SHADOW chemistry on him and he turns into a different player. He becomes lightning fast and masterfully wins standing tackles. He always seems to be in the right place at the right time on defense and can help start counter attacks with his speed. He is a quality CDM that will always be there in a time of need. Only issues would be his height and his shot. His 5'8" height isn't the best for headers and defending crosses as taller strikers can get higher than him and he'll score (Giroud did that to Gueye once in an online match I played). His shot ain't the best either but it is far better compared to Bakayoko (who I also use). Overall, Idrissa Gueye has to be considered at the top for EPL CDM's. He will not disappoint with his pace and defending ability at CDM.
