I just finished my first WL with my new squad. I can tell you im a Gold 1 player and quite often I struggle to get therem but this weekend was just so easy, and Rijkaard was the main reason.

I played him alongside prime Petit (4231 narrow) with a SHADOW chem style, which I would recommend you to apply on this card. Petit was inmense for me the last couple of weeks, using him with 87 Kanté, but when I saw Rijkaard was only like 600k (SBC) I did it inmediately and man, what a great decision it was.

You can really feel his presence, his medium-medium WR are perfect in my opinion, because I wanted him to create chances and he did.

PACE: very decent for a CDM/CM. He doesn't feel rapid, but hes quick.

PASSING: just superb, he never misplaced any. He feels even better than what his IG stats suggest, only managed to get 9 assists but he was so important on every single build up play.

LONG SHOTS: insane, better than Petit in my opinion. He scored 18 goals in 44 games for me so far, and he's my CDM.

DRIBBLING: he's not the kind of player that can dribble, but for me that's not an issue since he's my CDM.

DEFENDING: 10/10 as expected, he intercepts everything, he can make some insane tackles and then start an attack.

PHYSICAL: another superb area, he's tall, has fantastic stamina and strenght. I was worried about his agression but it's not a problem at all.

He has became my favourite midfielder, I think he's better than prime Petit, and he's cheaper so I would recommend him 100%

There I was, chugging along at the start of another Weekend League, hoping to scrape to my usual 18 wins - but after yet another rubbish start, I decided to get Rijkaard's loan card and goodness me, he is the absolute truth. I finished my 20 games with him and immediately did his full SBC, which I had just barely enough coins to do.

I went from 18 wins to 23 with him in my squad (and had three penalty shootout losses too) and honestly, he has completely revamped how I play. He does so much defensive work that in a 4-1-2-1-2 (2) at CDM that instead of telling my two CMs to either stay back or be balanced, I set them to get forward without any dramas at all.

I put Catalyst on him because when you already have 90 defending and strength, you really don't need any more - put he was the kickstarter for many of my attacks with his runs and passes, and the killer of many, many more of my opponent's. His balance stat is extremely low but at no point did I notice that in the slightest.

I don't know about his shooting because he hardly ever gets into a position for one, but has set up a handful of goals with some nice long balls - he's not a silky dribbler but he's not in my squad to glide through my opponent's midfield.

Positioning, outstanding. Tackling, outstanding. Interceptions, outstanding. I have mainly used Vidal in that role and also tried 85 Blanc, TOTGS Kimmich, Goretzka, SIF Mooy and others and nobody even comes remotely close - I'm a free to play player so I'll never have enough coins for Gullit or Vieira or Petit. But as we move through February and close to people having their end-game squads, to 600k or so it took to do this SBC seemed like an absolute bargain, especially as he's going for twice that on the market right now.

In short, he helped me, a pretty bad player, be slightly less bad. He's great, get him.

if you looking for a boss in your midfield...just get this card

at first i wasnt sure about this card so done his sbc loan...and he was perfect , so did his sbc and so happy i did

ill start with his great animation in game. , alot of fun

he holds my midfield as a lone cdm perfectly

his passing is amazing , remiends me a bit of pirlo in how everything goes by him ( it also helps having del piero as CAM)

very powerful + tackling

no stamina issues

and amazing long shots!!!

and can play every position if needed ( rb lb cb cdm cm cam)

I was saving around 2m coins for this weekend in order to build a new strong squad during the lunar new year market crash and the most difficult thing for me was finding a good CDM to fit into my 4-1-2-1-2 squad. But luck was on my side and EA dropped Frank's prime SBC. I was torn between doing him and Larsson since both cards looked great but I went with this guy and man, did I make a good choice.

As I said, I used him as a CDM in a 4-1-2-1-2 narrow for 15 games and he was just amazing! He has it all! He has strength to outmuscle pretty much anybody off the ball, his height is great for winning headers, his passing is beyond great, allowing him to create great chances even from a CDM position. He always seems to be there when you need him to intercept or land a decisive tackle. He's also quite quick, feels a bit more than 77 (I recommend you use a Shadow chem style on him), but don't think he is a mad speedster ( I never had an issue with his pace). And on top of all this, add a 4* weak foot.. he'll score goals as well if given the chance.

I haven't used Vieira or Petit, so I can't really compare, but Rijkaard is a monster and for 600k, he is a steal! I would 100% recommend anyone who is still thinking about doing the SBC, to do it ASAP, while it's this cheap.

So, i just scored a hat trick with this beast and i thought i'd write a review about him. Rijkaard is amazing, he does everything you need for a cdm and his longshots are crackin' plur as well. He creates a lot of chances for me, even though he plays as a CDM on stay back while attacking in a 41212(2) formation. I recommend you to put him in CDM because it is a guarantee that he will intercept every single ball from the opponent. He pushes players aside like its nothing. I use the anchor chem style on him because i thought that his agression was a bit on the low side but now it is a lot better. I did him for arond 450k because i got lucky in the packs. I would recommend this beast over Petit any day of the fucking week because Rijkaard is 1: Cheaper and 2: Better
