89 - Normal
After deciding to build a BPL squad I began with Lloris who was very decent but just didn't feel truly elite to me. I had De Gea available on loan and while I was impressed with him, at the time he was way out of my price range. Enter Courtois. I sniped him at 73k when he was going for upwards of 80k and haven't looked back. The man is an absolute rock. In 130 games I cannot remember a time when he allowed a second chance goal. His handling is impeccable and anything he doesn't catch cleanly is cleared out of danger. He commands his area and is surprisingly quick off his line for someone with only 46 speed. His height is also a great advantage in dealing with long shots and attempted chips. I also cannot say enough about how great his long throw is. I'm someone who grew up watching Jens Lehmann start many an Arsenal counter attack with a long throw and so I try to bring that element into my matches and Courtois definitely allows me to do it with ease. Although I have enough coins to buy De Gea now I see no reason to. Courtois has been absolutely incredible and saved my bacon many a time in close WL matches. I can't say enough about him, he's brilliant.

Before using Courtois, I was using the high-tier trashcan known as Lloris. Courtois is a huge improvement over Lloris but only worth it if you don't want to use Hart or Butland and you can't afford De Gea. Courtois managed to make a colossal mistake once every two to four games... that was until he gave up not one but TWO last second goals IN THE SAME GAME off of deflections which landed outside the box because he decided the game was over and wanted to run out of position like a mongoloid. I am now using De Gea, who is a far superior player in both real life and in the game. Overall, stay away from this card unless you like punishing yourself.
- Makes a decent save occasionally.
- Pretty good at very, and I mean VERY basic saves.
- His 91 hands rating is a lie. This guy is incapable of grabbing the ball and holding onto it.
- Far too slow and shit at closing out.
- Has an incredibly long neck for no reason.
- Likes to be in position when he feels like it.
- Can't kick and has the throw accuracy of Yoenis Cepedes in the clutch.
Well to start he is 6'6 and has great stats. He has amazing long throws and reflexes and if he does not catch it then it is parried away.

Well, there are some keepers you do not know how to feel about. Courtois is a beast at savings shots, but he just does not use his 91 handling enough. He just parries it to the opposing attackerand thy get so many easy goals. And in penalties, he either lets it go past his arm or under him. I have never saved a penalty with him in 125 games.

So I packed this card during TOTY in a untradeble 82+ pack. I was very happy because I needed a new goalkeeper (at that time I was still using 83 Schmeichel). I made a team with Koscielny on 8 chem but the rest of the team on 10. And thats because Koscielny is only linked with players just from PL or France.
Im the kind of FIFA player that just plays weekend league. I now played 135 games with Courtois and every weekend league I think of buying a new goalkeeper. Courtois is the worst that ever happened to me. He costs me so many points, thats not even funny anymore. Sometimes he makes some great saves but the fact that after that great save it only take 5 minutes to concede one of the easiest shots ever. Last year I managed to get Elite a few times. This year still not reached Elite, and I know for sure that Courtois plays a big part in that.
