Van Basten sometimes feels like a world beater and can score goals that no other player can but sometimes I feel like ha can miss chances that other players score and even if he is incredible, I feel in a weird way that he makes the team play worse. I have tried Lacazette and Suarez up front instead of Van Basten and they did not score as many goals but i felt like the team played better. So to summarize he feels like an incredible player but it feels like he makes my team worse.

So i bought this beast for 770k, I've played 80 matches with him and he has banged in 100 goals and assisted 46 times. When i bought him he replaced Higuain in my team, at the start i didn't feel any difference, i was missing shots left and right and hitting the post/crossbar often. I have hunter on him so he basically has 99 everything shooting wise. After like 15 games i was tempted to sell him as he barely hade averaged a goal a game, i decided to give him a go a few matches more and then BOOM he started scoring for fun. Why? I got used to him especially shooting wise, he has so high shot power that you barely need to press the shooting button, but it also makes shots you didnt think would go in rocket past the keeper. Low driven is a breeze with this guy and he can finesse it with style with either foot! I found him better than Kluivert (88) an would recommend him in a two striker formation.

- Pace: He can get past defenders when given sufficient space, but he isnt much faster than Lewandowski and couldn't tell the difference between them pacewise tbh
- Strength: He loses quite often in running duels but who doesnt, his strength is sufficient to win headers in the box tho.
- Agility: It says 87 Agility but he feels kinda stiff tbh.
I used Van Basten 89 during the week-end league, he helped me reaching 32 victories scoring a ton of goals. His shot is incredible, if he can see the goal, he scores, whatever they are, longhshots or close ranged shots or volleys (he's a master for volleys gol), also the left foot is very good. So, once he lacks nothing about shots, let's talk about the rest: his passing his very good despite the relatively "low" parameter, physically he's able to push many players except very strong opponents (Boateng, Koulibaly ecc..) but he fights well and also his height helps him a lot (1,88 cm, 6'22"). His dribbling is good, but he is not able to be very quick in certain moments, his pace is good enough, he's not mbappe or alessandrini, but if you launch him to the goal you have some possibility; his heading is also good, but not great jumping. He's a very hard striker to use because he's not very fast and not very quick on the first movements, but if you are good enough to let him face in the right way the goal, you score everytime.

I used as ST in a 4231.
I decided for him when I filtered the pgp of this website and saw that after R9 this guy was in the top of GPM. I gave him a chance. I agree with the first opinion, I feel that it does not make the team better, accustomed to forwards with more team play, it becomes an island to which you only have to send the ball when you know it will solve it, not always shooting, sometimes associating with a partner, but do not demand a sprint with the ball controlled and pass, because this is not your man.
It is a stupid card, which will make your team much more efficient and sometimes you will fall in love and others will see you as a 900K Dost, slow, heavy and with an unpleasant ball control.
I recommend it for people looking for this type of rocky forward, with the ability to post and very good results in the area and environs. Do not use the sprint button with rivals in 10Km around

- Shielding, is good take a pause in attack for the partner associations
- Punisher. He can punish the fails of ur opponent
- Unskilled player. You dont need to be the best fifa player to take advantage of it, it´s very easy to use and get good results.

Best player i have used. He is so reliable in front of goal and will score almost everything. Volleys, low driven shots, finesse shots and long shots are incredible with Basten. His heading ability is amazing too always scoring headers. His dribbling is smooth and responsive, could be better with 4* skills tho. Pace is good not perfect but he does beat some players for pace when he gets going. His strength is an added bonus. His positioning is what make this card so clinical. Passing is okay but nothing amazing. Can set goals up and links up with a second striker well enough.
Van Basten is very consistent and will score so many goals for you. Don't abuse his pace or dribbling to much, work it with other players and wait for him to take up a good potion and give him the ball. Hewill most definitely score 10/11 chances you get.
