Premier League's Enigmatic Goalscoring Midfielder

Originally purchased as a novelty to have a secondary Asian player in my Premier league squad, Ki Sung Yeung was a big surprise for a 78 rating card. As of this writing he is the 4th most prolific goalscoring player across my Premier and Bundesliga squads and best goalscoring midfielder if not counting for a Lars Stindl playing in a CAM position. Played exclusively in a uncommon and unconventional 5-2-2-1 formation, Ki Sung Yeung plays an important role in possessing and distributing the ball forward to the final third of the field if the ball is played from midfield - as the formation lacks midfield presence to make short quick passes. When not distributing the ball forward, Ki Sung Yeung is often positioned to fire a fiery shot that usually ends in the back of the net when the ball is passed towards him.

Surprisingly he's often in a position to just score a goal than be an assist machine which I had intended him to be - though this is likely due to the formation's nature of leaving the center more exposed as the defenders spread out wider to try to protect the flanks. His medium offensive work rate also seems to help getting into a position unmarked as the midfield drag themselves to follow the high work rate wingers and strikers when on the offensive.

In terms of defense he's pretty decent. The high defensive work rate helps. No major complaints but he scores enough goals to make his job at defending less necessary - also in due thanks to 5 ATB. Despite this I often use him and his midfielder partner to close down any attacks that tries to penetrate through the defensive line. However he isn't particularly great at winning headers, trying to goalkick the ball into midfield usually results in losing the header fight so it may be a good idea to pair him up with a tall midfielder with good heading ability.
