The biggest talent in the world right now. Every big club wants him. Is he going to Barcelona? PSG? Manchester City? No one knows yet, but there's no denying he will go to one of these big clubs.
Why? Who is he? Well do a quick youtube search and find out. He's the guy that can make France look like amateurs in the Nations League. He Kante'd Kante.
He is the cause that the Netherlands and Ajax are doing great again.
What type of player is he in real life? His a mixture of a defending mid, controlling mid and a playmaker with dribbles and acceleration of a winger.
I think he's great and his SBC is really cheap for what you get.
I've played 10 games with him divided in Weekend League (I finish elite 3 most of the times) and playing in Division 2.
Frenkie de Jong can be played as a CAM, CM and CDM. His finishing is average and I wouldn't recommend him as a CAM or CF. I dont think he would be bad but you'd rather want a 5* weakfoot player on those positions.
I played him as a CDM because in real life, he plays as a controlling midfielder who directs the build up play.
Now with Deadeye chem he actually has amazing stats for a CAM, but like I said before, it's better to have a 5* weakfoot player for those finesse shots and stay unpredictable.
You're pretty limited with his 3* weakfoot on attack.
I used shadow chem on him to boost his pace to a whooping 97 pace. He's 180cm and has 88 agility and 82 balance which makes him feel really rapid.
His dribbling base stats are amazing and also helps making him feel faster on the ball.
He has the flair trait which is amazing for a CDM. You can do backheels and more while the opponent puts pressure on him, but that's no problem for one of the biggest talents in the world right now. He laughs in the face of danger. Pressure isn't a big deal at all.
You can either choose to combine with your teammates to fight the pressure with his pinpoint passing. OR you can use his 4*skills which is also great for a CDM.
You don't even need to know the most difficult ones. Just atleast one of the following (the more the better); the La Croqueta, heel to heel, fake shots, the giovinco tornado (reverse berba) and flicks.
These are all incredibly easy to pull off.
His passing feels like you're passing with De Bruyne. It's insanely accurate which is great for build up play. Luckily I have De Bruyne in my team and passing the ball with Frenkie de Jong to De Bruyne feels like the opponent has no chance to intercept. It always goes right as you want it to.
Straight 10/10. As a CDM you wont cross the ball and most of the time you have strikers, wingers or a CAM to take the freekicks instead of De Jong.
His shooting is alright. He has 99 shot power which is nice. So if you want to do a timed finesse, dont hold back. Just go for it. If you time it right, the accuracy and power will increase, so dont let that 82 long shot stat hold you back. That's more than enough. His volley stat is 99 which is random. Penalty stat is low but most of the time, he wont take one.
Haven't let him do any headers on goal so I can't judge on that.
Because of his mid/mid workrate, you might think you would rather see a different one for a CDM like high def mid atk. But it's actually great and I will tell you why.
He has 89 marking with shadow, so he will be at the right position regardless, and on attack, he has 87 positioning as base stat which is amazing. Just like in real life, he's always at the right place.
Now his physicality is also just like in real life. Nothing impressive. But since you shouldn't try to win any duels, but rather intercept and tackle, you wont get bothered by it.
I've paired him up with Kante so he does more of the dirty work than De Jong. So there's that and I highly recommend anyone to do the same. If you're looking for a solo CDM, I'm pretty sure he can do a decent job but he wont dominate like a Kante would, so De Jong would be better off as a CM (like in a 41212(2) formation).
Long story short, should you get him? Well it depends on what you want. He is Aouar with his crazy stats, you could put that guy anywhere you want. Frenkie isn't like that. You need to have a specific role for him. I think he's simply amazing as a 2nd CDM in a 4231 (compact) and as a CM in a 41212(2).
He has a perfect link with De Ligt and you can use FUTMas Van Aanholt, UCL Live Tagliafico, Dumfries and/or Van Dijk to link up with him.

- 99 shot power (if you've mastered timed finesse, the 82 long shot stat wont even matter)
- Only 82 stamina, but his passing isn't affected when he gets tired, so you could leave him in till the end of the game without much trouble.
- Average finishing
- Average in the air (he does win some but dont except to win duels against Ronaldo or whatever. However, not a lot of times will there be crosses given in the area where he walks so he rarely heads it anyway)
- Not defensively strong enough to completely let him solo play as a CDM
As an Ajax fan I had to try out this card and do the sbc. I used him in the 451 formation as left cam in the weekend league and his work was great! I linked him up with vvd, future star Mathijd de Ligt and future star Justin Kluivert. I think 130k is a very good price for such a good player.
- 99 shot power is very good and he will score a lot of longshots.
- His timed finesse shots always go in.
- His passes are always good.
- He feels much faster than most cams is this game.
- He can't play the whole game because his stamina is not high enough for a cam.
- He is difficult to link up.
I did this sbc because i'm a huge ajax fan, his overall stats are great and you can link him with de Ligt and either Dumfries of Tagliafico. ingame he's a dribbling beast, i use him as a CDM,and with his 85 interception he feels so smooth, his passing is amazing just like his pace. you can shoot some long shots with him if you want.

I've had Frenkenstein for 18 games now, and I'll admit that I was having a little difficulty utilizing him properly at first. But since the first few games, my results have vastly improved and its been obvious that the returns from purchasing Frenkie De Jong are well worth the investment. The trick for me has been to change his instructions from Balanced Attacking to Get Forward to offset his medium attacking work rate. Couple that with the occasional formational change (where I scoot Frenkie De Jong forward and switch him to CAM, moving Dybala up to striker), and I've found that De Jong really is the preeminent box-to-box, well-rounded midfielder for whom I've been so desperately searching. So, discounting the first few games where Frenkie's potential was being wasted, his stats begin to brighten a bit: in the past 14 games, he's created 10 scoring opportunities, with 6 goals and 4 assists. Those stats are still deceivingly paltry, though, when compared with the reality... because when you start Frenkie De Jong, you will find that he can be quite the game changer. He has contributed heavily to almost every goal that I've scored since securing his signature, whether it's been through well-timed passes during build up play, a deft juke, or a perfect standing tackle that sets a fierce counter attack in motion. His positioning is excellent and he has this sublime way of gliding in from behind players and confiscating the ball before they know what has happened. Depending on the needs of your squad and your play style, I think this guy can be utilized as a CDM, CM, or CAM effectively. I cannot recommend him enough for players with limited means. Link him up with De Ligt and Tagliafico in a 5-3-2 (all three of them making a perfect link triangle on the left hand side) and watch the heads roll. Set him up with Sentinel chemistry style to bolster his standing and sliding tackles, heading, jumping, and endurance, further solidifying his awesome well-roundedness.

Up front, I don't care about TOTY Ronaldo, Mbappé or all those other OP cards. I play for fun and I'm a supporter of Ajax, my main incentive is to play with joy and build a relatively strong squad to match up with the OP significant others. And I must say with this years Fifa, I'm not dissappointed. I mean Future De Ligt, UCL Tagliafico, FB Huntelaar, 89 Ziyech, Hero Tadic and IF Blind and Van de Beek, the only card I'm missing is an upgraded Mazraoui. But lets talk about Frenkie
What is so good about this guy, sometimes you don't see him at all, but he is there when he needs to be: In the clutch for a rebound, through balls to put a striker in front of the goal, as an extra defender to kill an enemies attack, and untill the infamous patch he would score 9/10 timed shots.
But what I really like about him, that he is as slippery as in real life. Easy to make an unexpected move and hard to take the ball from. Even in a battle where it seems he will lose the ball, he will somehow still steal the ball and leave your opponent behind, clueless of what just happened.
Also his low driven shots are worth to mention, just lay a ball of to him after a quick combination and he will slide the ball in the far corner. He doesn't care if it's de gea or a tall courtois, it WILL end up in the net.
His pace is mediocre, but with this handling, ball control and passing, you actually don't miss the pace, also as he is linked up with Tagliafico and Overmars, it's just nice he can hold the ball for a second, or a minute if you feel like it, to see which player is open.
TBH his only real downfall is his stamina, he will likely be tired around the 70th minute, or earlier if you hold the sprint button a little too much. But at the same time, he is at his best while not sprinting so I only sub him if I really have to and the game is too close too call.

I come from the Netherlands(sorry when i make English mistakes) so I love when I see him playing in a orange shirt. Frenkie in real life is a masterpiece who can easily get past a defender with just one simple acceleration. In FIFA it is exactly the same, Just hold R2 and you are past the defender. I can't see much more about it, cause I have only used him in Squad battles now(legendary) and it's difficult for me to score against a high level computer. On FIFA 19 I only played online till now and it's u huge difference. I'm just a normal player with a normal amount of coins, but I didn't regret doing this sbc. Link him with Tagliafico UCL(really good card) and De Ligt/an icon (or Blind and sub him in game, when you don't have the coins like me :( ) in a 4-3-2-1 and you have 10 TG.
PS: I use him with maestro to boost his shooting, passing and dribbling.
- His dribbling and acceleration are freaking amazing
- His defending is decent, so you can use him as a cm. But I recommend to add a more defensive midfielder next to him
- His passing and shooting are really good
- All with all it's really a game changer.
- He is "difficult to link" some people think
- His stamina isn't his best stat, so end game you need to substitute him
- He costs 150k and you can't sell him afterwards.
Frenkie De Jong is one of my favourite players at Ajax. He has the potential which has of course been proven by his transfer to Barcelona. I did his SBC with the popular belief that he would be an instant sub. But then the FIFA gears started turning as Hakim Ziyech got a Headliner. This would make it perfect to play in a 433 because of the strong link. But back to Frenkie. I would compare his card to an upgraded version of SBC Oscar. Great Agility Feels like a man that does Yoga every day, great playmaking with the ability to play some amazing passes. Fenomenal Composure and Dribbling to make him a very good playmaker. His shooting is acceptable if you upgrade his finishing he becomes a great CAM with 99 shot power. Now that his window for the SBC has closed maybe I am making you jealous, or not. But it doesn't matter who you are and where you live because this is a standard name you will hear from in the future. I hear people saying that he is way to hard to link but now you have some great choices to make with Lozano,Dumfries,Ziyech,De Ligt and of course VVD. All in all the only problem I see with him is the Stamina but I have used Oscar who has the same Stamina and I don't see a problem.
