The best CAM on Fifa 19

Florian Thauvin has been a shining light in what has been one of the most disappointing Fifa games in the franchise's history. Previously I was using Mbappe (88) at CAM and, despite his 5* skills I just wasn't enjoying him. I looked for reviews everywhere to see who would be better and I couldn't see any detailed reviews explaining who was better and so I took a risk and bought Thauvin.

The rest, as they say, is history.

Let me just say now that he is rapid. Part of my game play is to try and get any of my front three in behind and, despite being CAM, Thauvin bursts through the opposition back line and is then through on goal. The reason it isn't a 10/10 for pace is because he only has 87 sprint speed and, being end-game, there are a lot of defenders who catch-up. Having said that, he's so good on the ball that you can easily turn or drag back to retain possession and find a team-mate.

Dribbling: 10/10

This bloke has the ball glued to his left peg. With the exception of 80 balance which is barely noticeable in-game his stats are ridiculous. He weaves in and out of tight spaces and, when the time comes, his 92 composure enables him to slot the ball home.

Shooting: 11/10

Wow wow wow. This guy finishes his dinner and then starts picking at your leftovers. He is absolutely lethal cutting inside on his left foot and slotting into the far corner. I've scored a few volleys as well, including weaker foot, as well as long shots. He always seems to be in the right place to slot home a rebound as well.

Passing: 9/10

Playing at CAM I cannot comment particularly on his crossing as he rarely drifts out wide. His general passing ability is superb and I have never noticed him misplacing passes.

Defending: 6/10

He tracks back a lot being a CAM and does get stuck in however it's nothing to write a song and dance about.

Physical: 10/10

95 Stamina means he runs all day. Also, and the most surprising thing about this card, is his ability in the air. I have won and scored a few headers using him up again Icon CB's. (Maybe that's another example of Fifa 19 being pretty crap?!)

What. A. Card.

After packing Michael Owen in a pre-order pack I did not really know what to do with the coins. Already had Hazard POTM and decided that I wanted another player with the Finesse shot trait who could cut in from the right and then shoot. And my god, he can shoot. The SBC was incredibly expensive but I overestimated my packluck, as after 20 packs I didnt pack a single board. So, 400k for Florian Thauvin. I was so disappointed...

Different Gravy

Thauvin is truely something else. I've only used him for 12 games, but he has been magnificent in all 12. At CAM, he is consistent with great through balls and link up play, and most importantly, FINESSE LONG SHOTS. Obviously finesse long shots are super OP, but this guy just hits them effortlessly. Surprisingly Good RW

Seems I end up using Thauvin every year as my end game RW, whether it be for lack of good left-footed options or linkability. Anyway, this year is no different and I've been using him ever since I got him in the Ligue 1 guarantee. I've considered switching him out for a more expensive option, but I can't complain with his productivity.
