Thought I would never write any more review for FIFA 19 since the game is ending. But getting TOTS Son convinced me that I have to write one more time because of how good he is, especially with the current price that he is on right now (630k as of August 5th).
So I Got him in the midst of this EA clearance sale that caused the huge crash in the market (seriously pulled so many TOTS and special cards in these past few days that I lost count). At first, his price was still over a million and I knew that I had to sell him right away since the price was dropping. But the game is ending so I decided to try him anyway. 500k drop in price later and I didnt regret it a bit. He carried my team to my first ever elite 3 finish on the WL. I play 4-2-3-1 in game with 94 R9, 95 CR7, 93 Eusebio and 93 Robben leading the line, and I didn't have a place for Son in my team at first but I started the last WL and lost 4 out of 10 games. Decided to mix things up and put Son in CM to replace my PIM Petit. Oh boy, he is the CM that you have always wanted but never thought of. Even with my all star-studded attacking line up above, Son managed 24 goals and 12 assists in 20 outing, practically robbing goals from his fellow CAMs and STs. And I shall remind you once again, all of this is being done from CM. Central Midfield. How scary is that. And you would think that in doing that Son is leaving his post vulnerably open to attack, right? Dead wrong. High/high work rate with 99 stamina, he runs up and down that field like a machine.
I always give out some stats fact along with my review, but at this point of game, every striker have an almost identical stats so I wont bother.
OVERALL CONCLUSION: 10/10
The coveted 5 star weak foot has always been important, but even more so at this stage of the game, and the really competitive ones are limited and expensive too. Since every other team has a VVD and other high rated CB, scoring header or run behind them with your main ST is not that easy anymore. So having a CM that gives you an extra boost in attack with his run as well as long range shooting is essential to break the deadlock to any opponent, and that is where Son is best at. I found that TOTS Havertz really goes head to head to Son in this price range and it is debatable who to pick depending on your play style. I used both and I found that Havertz are better suited as a CAM that you don't use to defend much and can jump and head the ball better than Son. However, if you need a man who run tirelessly for 90 minutes, help the attack and defense equally, and score those long ranger, try Son as a CM and you won't be disappointed. I tried Son as a CAM/LCAM/RCAM and ST too in couple ocassions and he was not bad, but CM is the way to go. Linking him would be a hard task and I should deduct some points for it, but I play him on 8 chem the whole time and he gave me a 5 star performance, so a perfect 10 it is .
Chem used: Marksman

+ Never gets tired
+ Runs everywhere all over the pitch
+ High aggression helps you win back the ball
+ Surprisingly very very good ball distribution as well as crossing
+ Superb dribble
- Slightly hard to link
- Capable but not the best at heading the ball
