Player Review
82 - Normal
Fred was and still is the player that every player wants. When it comes to BPL midfielders that are purchasable for a reasonable price, Fred is the main contender. One of the most used players on the game, Fred must be outstanding on the pitch. After hearing the hoards of people raving about the card, it was only right that I used him myself, to understand where everyone was coming from. Quite honestly, I wasn't impressed nor unimpressed. For me, Fred was an average player. Don't get me wrong, Fred has absolutely insane stats and is apart of the 'Junior Gullit Club'. However, there is something about Fred that just did not click for me. There is no doubt in my mind that Fred is a good player, but for me at least, Fred just wasn't anything special. Fred has some outstanding statistics, such as his 82 dribbling, 79 pace and high/high work rates. His dribbling was beautiful and he felt majestic on the ball, but he could only do so much. His pace combined with his dribbling was actually surprisingly good, but his lack of height, strength, positioning and tackles really just put the card to bed for me. Fred could only do so much, and that so much happened to be him running with the ball for a few second only to get pushed over by Kondogbia. Fred really has an outstanding card, but I can't tell whether he doesn't suit my playstyle, doesn't suit my team or just doesn't work for me at all. Fred was average at best, nothing special and certainly not deserving of the hype. A great card but not good enough to operate the midfield.
