86 - IF
Exceptional as always, I used both of Mahrez's IFs last year in the weekend league and still he has yet to disappoint!
I ran Him in a 4-1-2-1-2 (2) at CAM (Maestro Chem) up front with UCL Suarez at left striker and POTM Hazard at right striker. When using this formation I always make sure my attackers have two things, good acceleration and passing. Mahrez more than delivers on both of those along with being lethal outside the box with both his finesse shot and regular strike. this card has everything you want in a CAM, dribbling, passing, decent pace and he is lethal around the edge of the box with his shooting.
- Pace
- This doesn't have mind blowing pace, but he has more than enough for the CAM position, He's great in interplay, and he explodes out of his skill moves with good acceleration and makes streaking runs down the middle that will surprise you.
- Dribbling
- My favorite thing about this card is how fun he is to take on defenders with. His fake shots and heel clicks are crisp and fluid, and his elastico (either way) is great for leaving those aggressive tacklers in the dust.
- His ball control is great for holding up runs to create angles for finesse shots.
- Passing
- With a Maestro on the card, the passing was great, his short passing was crisp and accurate and his lob passes over the top were exceptional feeding Hazard and Suarez
- Shooting
- If you know how to take long shots, this card will have you falling in love!! countless times in the weekend league I would take on shots (on either foot) that seemed like bad shots to take, and they would end up in the back of the net. His shot power is great and his curve is lethal on his finesse shot, consistently knocking down open looks around the edge of the box, the only goal keeper I struggle to make finesse shots on is De Gea.
- Strength
- You guessed it, he is a bit weak:( but his agility and ball control more than make up for this when it comes to getting by defenders, similar to Neymar. The only thing that I didn't like about this card and really the only situation that he is not good in on the attack are breakaways where defenders have time to catch up and bully him off the ball. Most of the times in these situations its better to take a finesse shot around the edge of the box if it means avoiding a strong CB having time to touch him and toss him off the ball like a little boy.
- Stamina
- If you're going into extra time, your going to want to have a sub ready for him before he goes into cardiac arrest.
