Nearly Perfect

I recently got Werner in my WL Red picks (I was very lucky this time around) and I have been impressed so far. Werner just like his past Informs is a force to be reckoned with in this game. He is insanely quick I mean you could already tell that by his face card stats but unlike Aubameyang or Sané he actually feels extremely quick ingame whether that is due to his shorter size or higher agility I don´t really know but if you can build up a nice counter attack and play a decent through ball nobody is gonna be able to catch him. Dribbling is really good this time around the higher agility plus balance really helps him out with keeping the ball and shielding it from other players. It also boosts his speed on the ball by a significant amount since you can actually dribble the ball with him and don´t have to really on your cam playing the passes all the time. Passing is decent but nothing to write home about it´s good enough for those simple 1-2s but that´s about it. Physicality is where the problems with this card really start to show. His stamina is absolutely fantastic don´t get me wrong on that he is easily gonna last you an entire game and even more than that but his strength and aggression are very poor and he is gonna get bullied off the ball a lot if you get too close to the opposing defenders. If you are looking for a player who can really hold up the play and create space for your other players Werner is not your man since his dribbling stats (whilst decent) aren´t good enough to compensate for the lack of physical presence.

All in all Werner is a very good player and is on his way to become an Elite Tier card very soon if he keeps racking up those IFs but the lack of Physical presence and poor passing + the insane price tag make him a niche type player imo. Which means that he is only going to fit the playstyle of very small group of players. If you already have players like POTM Reus Flashback Götze etc. in your Club then he is a no brainer but for everyone else building a team solely around Werner is not very viable imo.

Fantastic

FUT Birthday is upon us and Timo Werner has become the first SBC player of the promo. I used his headliners card earlier in the year when he became 89 and was not fully impressed with the card. The passing boost due to his RW position change makes him look so much better for a hold up 1-2 pass then run on the the ball player. SIF Werner, the counter attacking sniper

I've only played 11 games so far with him yet (get in behind, press back line I think).He scored 7 goals and 11 assists against good players (a div 3 player in 4 friendlies and div 4-5 matches).I play him with a sniper chemistry style to increase his composure, and that makes him more 'snappy' imo as well.
