I'm italian so this year i decided that i'll get the best Serie A team possible. i don't play fifa a lot so now i'm playing with a 200k squad to very decent success. I was looking for a good keeper in the serie a and the big choices are handanovic and szczesny, the former being the highest rated and probably the best, the latter being the cheaper of the good ones. never tried handanovic because i don't want to invest 1/5 of the budget on the goalie, so i tried szczesny and he's pretty good. the only issue i have with him, other than the usual but rare silly mistakes here and there, is that he can't kick a ball even if his life depends on it. in the situations when the keeper has the ball and can launch the counterattack, he was simply bad, so i looked for a serie a keeper with good kicking and i met reina.
i didn't feel a downgrade from szczesny in terms of goalkeeping as much as i felt the upgrade in terms of kicking/playing longballs for counterattacks, so i decided to keep reina in my starting eleven. yes, szczesny is a slightly better goalie (height, stats, juve player, whatever reason) but reina has much better distribution and i rate that.
best kicking for a usable goalie in the serie a: starts counterattacks, places the ball precisely to your target man's head or on the run of your winger 9 times out of 10
pretty good goalkeeping for 1.7k
hybrids ramos with manolas pretty well if you need the extra link to manolas/can't afford courtois (in general he's good as a link between la liga and serie a or azpi and serie a. (if you need just a random spanish goalie no matter his league you should probably use asenjo)
makes the usual mistakes goalies make
that 1 time out of 10 he's inaccurate its because he puts too much power and the ball flies over your player
