Player Review
90 - IF
So many complaints on this card, really people need to learn how to play different styles. I was building a team and needed to link up with Sane in a 433-2. My RCM was Firmino so I wanted a more traditional CM with great passing to link up the play and mostly stay back with the CDM. I'd take a chance on Silva despite a lot of apparent weaknesses because I needed the link to my CB for chem. His defending needed a boost for sure, his physical stats weren't getting any better no matter the chemistry style used, so I slapped a Gladiator on him, as the position would naturally have some long shot opportunities. Well, the 433-2 was a disaster.
Now Im looking to go back to my trustworthy 4231, and with the current squad Silva would have to play CDM. Oh no! I pretty much needed to change my entire defense to swap out Silva for Gundogan or Fernandinho, so I said let's give the lad a shot.
The little engine that could! Silva is a surprisingly awesome box to box. I have Fabinho as my solid CDM, and didn't expect Silva to contribute much at the back but he puts in more than his fare share. He is quite good at tracking back, and doesn't have a problem defending most speedy players. He won't be taking the ball off any tanks.
When attacking, you have a true artist on the ball. Super tight dribbling, pin-point passing. A perfect registra. Not crazy stats, but regularly MOTM.
This is the kind of card that will challenge you to become a different player, which ultimately makes you much better as you have more tools to counter different play-styles.

Stamina (in box-to-box role, but I'll usually sub him out for a solid CDM if take a good lead anyways, if I'm losing I'll change tactics)
