When I play fifa, the first thing i always want in my teams are quality strikers. For me, it's the most important part in any team, you can have low cost midfielders that give an awesome performance, and the same with all the defenders, but you need a quality striker to finish your plays (yeah it's no more fifa 14, you can play with strikers with pace lower than 90).
I have tried a lot of different strikers: Mertens (already using him as a CAM), Depay, Werner, Rodrigo, Josef Martínez,... but none of them had give me the same as Sonaldo. Even tried really good strikers in futdraft and the don't feel the same way as Son does.
To explain you why Son is so OP, I only have to name two things: 5 stars weak foot and Finesse shots.
It doesn't matter what angle you have to shoot, if you are shooting with his strong or weak foot, if he has 5 defenders and De Gea in front of him, just press R1, and it is going i. (I don't even use time finishing, and i don't want to thing how is this guy with that advantage). His shooting is one of the bests i have tried this year, no matter he is a left-midfielder, he's a clinical striker. Just thing about his 99 finishing and 90 positioning.
And i haven't finish talking about his shooting yet, he scores almost every volley chance he has (with sniper he goes up to 85 in volleys, just shoot when you have the chance), and he didn't let me down with his heading, don't pay attention to his jumping and heading accuracy (63 and 65, respectively). What I try to say is, don't pay attention to his "real" stats and shoot whenever and wherever you can.
Since the first day i tried him with sniper, and i think is the best option to this player. Yeah i know, "86 pace is not good enough for a striker" but let me talk first. As i said before, the thing that makes Son different is his OP shooting, but before shooting to goal, you have to get rid of the defender and put the ball in a good way to hit it. With sniper, his agility, ball control and dribbling go up to 90, 90 and 97. Summarizing, it's too easy to spin and aim to goal.
Talking about his pace, he doesn't feel as a slow player, what's more, i love to play in a counter-attacking way and he didn't give me any problem. I could even say that he feels fast.
I hate when a striker has high/high workrates, but don't think about this fact, i didn't feel it. Furthermore, I didn't even knew it before i started this review. His physicality is just acceptable, he's not an strong and tall player, but his 85 stamina let him play the 90 minutes.
And finally, keeping in mind that we are playing it as a striker and he do not get involved too much in the passing part of our teams, he has a really good passing and very infrequently misses a short pass.
(I use Son in a 442 formation, that I change in game to a 4231. That's why the squad used has no quem, i wanted to show how i play him in game. But i don't start with him as a LM, i start him in the striker position as a LF. He's on 7 quem, but trust me, it's good enough.)
- 5 stars weak foot, 4 stars skills and Finesse shot.
- I bought it at 40k and loved him. Don't even think about it at 10k.(Already have it intransfer <3)
- Top player shooting.
- Easy to put into any team.
- Gold Weekend League player, don't know if it's good for elite players.
- Didn't like it as LM, LW or LF. I just recommend it as a ST.
